Pardon my ignorance, but I can only think of very few situations where
one might be needed.  To qualify you'd have to be:
1) A professional photographer working in absolutely extreme settings
where there is a very high chance the camera will break or malfunction,

When I take a picture  Nikon D70 (auto white balance, have also tried
sunny mode) with (especially) a deep blue sky, either the landscape is
too dark (underexposed) and the sky comes out the right color, or the
landscape seems to be correctly exposed, but the sky is a washed out

Last week I purchased a Canon EOS 1Ds Mk II. I usually purchase my photo
equipment from BH Photo in NY and have come to rely on the equipment I

I have the Nikon D70 & wish to buy a 58mm Polarizing Filter, having checked
the prices the Nikon one is £79 & Hoya around £30. Question is will the Hoya
one reduce the Nikon lens quality too much. Any thoughts.

Does anyone have a trashed Nikon SB-25 or SB-26 Speedlight they'd be
