Alternative way to replace Fast Shutter12 Nov 2005 16:27 GMT3
I just bought a Canon S2 IS. When I still use Canon A95, there's a fast
shutter and slow shutter mode at the mode dial, that two mode is not
exist at Canon S2 IS.
Is there any other mode which I can use on Canon S2 IS to replace that?
Canon 5D Pentaprism or Pentamirror12 Nov 2005 06:17 GMT15
In Canon's specifications (published white paper) for the 5D, the viewfinder
is stated to have a pentamirror. Shouldn't a camera costing over $3,000 have
a pentaprism or is this a misprint?
Digital Viewfinder - check it out.12 Nov 2005 00:38 GMT6
I just saw this and thought it was really cool, specially for people who
wear glasses or situations where one can be in a position to see through the
viewfinder. Must be nice to use it at night also.
Check the digital viewfinder at:

Nikkor AF 80-400 F/4.5-5.6D ED VR lens please.
Please scan it in and post it.  I purchased one used and the fellow did not
have the manual.  It would be handy to know how all the buttons and switches
work correctly.
20D - Processing Parameters - Sets11 Nov 2005 21:16 GMT7
I was playing with some of the settings on the 20D. More specifically, the
processing parameters. I set up my sets so that one of the sets has a
sharpness value of +2, Contrast +1, Saturation +1, Color tone 0. That seemed
to make the pictures sharper then the "auto zones" ...
Canon 70-200mm L IS f/2.8 lens w/1.4x - - carrying case?11 Nov 2005 15:13 GMT8
Looking for suggestions on a carrying case (which I'll also want to
then strap onto a camera carrying pack or belt) that will successfully
accomodate the Canon 70-200mm L IS f/2.8 lens when it *also* has a 1.4x
teleextender installed.

Canon 20D - Error 99 - How common10 Nov 2005 08:14 GMT18
I've now had 2 Error 99 lockups with my 20D - both with a 24-70 F2.8L
attached.
I'm curious as to how common an issue this is - they're probably 1000 shots
apart, so I'm not overly concerned - would be great to know if other 20D

OK....I have been using a Tokina Pro 28-70/2.6-2.8 II lens on my D70 and
from my film days on my F100. It just isnt sharp enough on the wide end
for my taste on teh D2X....So which Nikkor zoom should I get...I will be

Nikon D70 Battery Recall09 Nov 2005 22:38 GMT11
I just went to the Nikon site (http://www.nikonusa.com) to see the specs on
the new D200 and discovered that many LiON batteries for the D70 are being
recalled.  If your battery is in one of the lot that's being recalled, they
will send you a new battery before you return your ...
Best Digital Camera: Shooting at Concerts?09 Nov 2005 09:50 GMT8
Hi - Quick poll for the experts in the group... I go to alot of
concerts and like to take pictures.  So, what is the best camera in the
market with the following attributes:
1) lite (sneak past security)
Do I need a SLR and if so, which one?09 Nov 2005 07:31 GMT12
I currently have a regular digital camera that I get along fine with
except for a few problems.
 1) It won't capture anything about the sky unless it's blue (if not, I
get a wonderful gray amorphous blob)
