Apologies to the group if this has been done to death.
I have tried to install the Pentax RAW (*.PEF) plugin for Photoshop with no
success.  I get an "unable to load preview" (or something like that) error,
then no image at all loads.

I'd like to make some DVDs with photos on them so people can view the
photos - with maybe background music or captions on - their TVs.
What's considered the best package to do this?

Here's an update on Nikon's Capture 4 software, and how it runs on a
Mac...it's a rather long rant, but if nothing else, this will give me a
chance to vent some frustration...and hopefully serve as a warning for
others...

Some other optical devices that switched mfg. from Germany and Japan
experienced quality control problems.  But, since the Chinese military
optics facilities have taken over, most of the issues have
disappeared.  Their equipment is "state of the art."

I have always submitted my work via e-mail and never had a need for a
portfolio.  Now, I would like to create a portfolio for showing potential
clients - I would like to know the accepted form for such a piece of
representation of my work.

I don't know many female photographers, so I can't comment fully on the
quality of their output. I have seen some stunning work in many areas of
photography by the likes of Annie Lebowitz, EJ Camp and a few others,
but I remain puzzled by the fact that so few women seem to be ...

After years with Minolta SLR's I've chosen to add a digital SLR to my
system (I already own an A2). What I can't find out easily is: What
are the differences between the 5D and the much more expensive 7D?

A little pricey at $499 but it has all the features I need and I'm tired of
Photoshop crashing on my Mac.  Anybody read the specs yet?  Or even better,
has anyone here had a preview copy?

Looking for software that will allow me to view digital photos (.jpg files)
and mark them up with highlights and notes.  I'll need to be able to save
the "marked-up" version in a different format as well.  Different colors and
line widths are a must.

Can some one please explain what are "Hot Pixels" and what does this mean
in relationship to digital images.
Rather new to digital photography, so any information will be a great help.
