| Minolta 7D - how to use wireless 5600HSD flash | 31 Oct 2005 22:47 GMT | 9 |
Hi, I just got the KM 7d and love it. Only one thing bugs me. When using the 5600HSD flash in wireless remote mode it seems that the main on camera flash fires just enough to signal the remote flash and not enough to properly expose the subject. The result is that the remote ...

| Pentax RAW plugin for Photoshop | 31 Oct 2005 12:24 GMT | 21 |
Apologies to the group if this has been done to death. I have tried to install the Pentax RAW (*.PEF) plugin for Photoshop with no success. I get an "unable to load preview" (or something like that) error, then no image at all loads.

| Photo DVD Software | 31 Oct 2005 01:36 GMT | 11 |
I'd like to make some DVDs with photos on them so people can view the photos - with maybe background music or captions on - their TVs. What's considered the best package to do this?

| Nikon Capture 4 on a Mac...ARRRGH!!!! | 30 Oct 2005 19:05 GMT | 9 |
Here's an update on Nikon's Capture 4 software, and how it runs on a Mac...it's a rather long rant, but if nothing else, this will give me a chance to vent some frustration...and hopefully serve as a warning for others...

| Possible that lens element manufacture has gone to China | 30 Oct 2005 06:27 GMT | 2 |
Some other optical devices that switched mfg. from Germany and Japan experienced quality control problems. But, since the Chinese military optics facilities have taken over, most of the issues have disappeared. Their equipment is "state of the art."

| Are men better photographers than women? | 29 Oct 2005 17:07 GMT | 35 |
I don't know many female photographers, so I can't comment fully on the quality of their output. I have seen some stunning work in many areas of photography by the likes of Annie Lebowitz, EJ Camp and a few others, but I remain puzzled by the fact that so few women seem to be ...

After years with Minolta SLR's I've chosen to add a digital SLR to my system (I already own an A2). What I can't find out easily is: What are the differences between the 5D and the much more expensive 7D? The KM site has a list of the features, but with too much marketing

| Apple's Aperature announcement | 29 Oct 2005 16:10 GMT | 111 |
http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs.html A little pricey at $499 but it has all the features I need and I'm tired of Photoshop crashing on my Mac. Anybody read the specs yet? Or even better, has anyone here had a preview copy?

| Photo Markup Software | 29 Oct 2005 15:22 GMT | 3 |
Looking for software that will allow me to view digital photos (.jpg files) and mark them up with highlights and notes. I'll need to be able to save the "marked-up" version in a different format as well. Different colors and line widths are a must.
