| Can't decide - Nikon vs. Konica Minolta | 09 Sep 2005 00:43 GMT | 30 |
I'm about to make the jump from my Canon S1-IS digital point-and-shoot to a DSLR model, but I'm torn between the Nikon D70s (with the 18-70mm AF-S DX f/3.5-4.5G lens) and the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D, with a KM 28-100mm AF f/3.5-5.6 lens.

| Which lens for Konica Minolta 7D? | 08 Sep 2005 22:19 GMT | 3 |
I am speculating to buy a DSLR and having used a Minolta 7Hi, the Dynax (Maxxum) 7D is one of the candidates. I am browsing through the lens possibilities and have a few questions: - Sigma and Tamron catalogues say that some of the lenses

| Tiffen filters. | 08 Sep 2005 22:15 GMT | 5 |
Bought a lens that came wth a Tiffen Haze filter. Cheap and nasty or good and good value? How do they compare to Hoya filters. Did the seller simply want to get rid of his rubbish. Cheers.

When my brand new D20 is mounted as a drive .CR2 files don't show up in the list of files on the CF card. Digital Photo Professional does see these CR2s but can't open/preview them. The only way to get to the files are through the CF card reader. This is ok but I am

| Epson P-2000 vs. Flashtrax XT | 08 Sep 2005 07:33 GMT | 9 |
Has anybody got either one? I saw the Epson for the first time last week. Wow! Awesome screen, but ugly price tag for very little functionality. I am thinking of upgrading my 40GB Flaxtrax but apart from the screen I

| Nikon D50 Price Drop | 08 Sep 2005 02:23 GMT | 12 |
I noticed Nikon D50 did a significant price drop on the D50. Was $899, now $799 and I'm starting to see it on sale it some stores. Anyone know the reason for the drop? Problems with the camera? New model coming out (seems unlikely since it is a fairly new one), etc?

| Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 vs Canon 70-200mm f4 L | 08 Sep 2005 01:37 GMT | 14 |
I'm thinking about purchasing a lens to replace my Sigma 18-200mm f35.-5.6 DC, which although a pretty capable lens, I've found it's very soft at the long end. I'd like to replace it with something that gives me sharper images.

| Aftermarket lenses and Olympus/Pentax | 08 Sep 2005 01:24 GMT | 7 |
Why support for Pentax DSLRs and not Olympus? I figured Olympus sells at least as many bodies as Pentax. Is this because they simply slap a new mount on

Just starting out in raw. I have Photoshop cs2 withthe canon plug (3.1) When I open the canon image (raw) it has a lot of very bright red areas, mainly on the white areas of the picture. After adjusting the settings or using "auto" the red blotches are still there. However when ...
