Advice sought for Nikon lens choice.21 Sep 2005 02:00 GMT7
I have a Nikon D70 and want to get something in the 80-200ish range.
I have narrowed the choice to three lenses.
1. The very cheap nikon dx series. I think it's around the 55-200
range. It's very cheap.
Sending large files across the internet.21 Sep 2005 00:36 GMT1
Hi all...
I had the need to send some very large files across the internet the
other day and found a very good site for doing this.

Aperature Priority20 Sep 2005 20:36 GMT14
I'm a bit frustrated with My Nikon D70 in aperature priority.  I've been
setting the aperature to a resonable setting for the shot and letting the
camera choose the shutter speed.  They usually come out dark.  I've tried a
number of things to try to lighten up the shot, but nothing ...
Canon Digital 350D. Basin Trials V Armchair Theoreticians. (Second posting) - NetObjects Fusion 4.0.lnk (0/1)20 Sep 2005 15:24 GMT2
I think this needs rer-posting. I'm just back from a highly profitable
photo stint in France.

D50, 350d, or P&S20 Sep 2005 08:18 GMT26
Hi;
After ahving Fujifilm 2800 for 4 years, and being frustrated by its low
light performance, speed, flash, and lack of controls I have decided to
move one step up. My usage is general indoor and outdoor, some nature,
Focus indicator on D7020 Sep 2005 05:08 GMT4
When the D70 is set to manual focus, the little circle mark for focus still
works, and tells you when you have focused the camera according to what it
thinks.
Question - is this a function of the lens?
Comment in a mag review of Leica lens20 Sep 2005 04:30 GMT13
First paragraph; 75mm f2 Summicron review:
"This lens is all brass, aluminum and glass,
no plastic."  Obviously, Leica hasn't seen
the utility in using plastic in a $2600 lens.

What can CS2 do that Elements 3.0 cannot?19 Sep 2005 22:05 GMT5
I understand that Photoshop CS2 is the end all be all for imaging editing,
but I'd like to know 4 or 5 of the key features included in CS2 that are not
in Elements.   And for those of you that did go for the upgrade, was it
worth the extra money?
I have been told that only lens with auto focusing can be used with the Rebel body19 Sep 2005 19:56 GMT6
I have been told that only lens with auto focusing can be used with
the Rebel body. Is this information accurate ?
Thanks

Best Lenses19 Sep 2005 16:32 GMT6
I am shopping for a Canon Digital Rebel XT and have noticed a number of
package deals that include different lenses, 18 - 55 and 70 - 300 but
from manufacturers other than Canon such as Sigma.  I've heard the lens
is every bit as important as the camera body in getting good shots ...
First modelling assignment19 Sep 2005 09:43 GMT51
I was asked by a friend to photograph her daughter who is entering quite
a prestigious pageant (Miss Teen SA) next week. Nervous as hell photo-
graphing a cute 15 year-old with her Mom breathing down my neck at every
shot! Luckily Simone knew exactly how to pose herself and I ...
