Why DSLR makers are evil24 Aug 2005 04:00 GMT30
If a new innovation (faster processor, memory, new vid card, etc) comes
out
for a computer, if I have any sense at all, I can upgrade my box unless

Easy, inexpensive gifts24 Aug 2005 02:15 GMT11
I recently had some photos matted and framed for a show, and it ain't cheap.
When I wanted to make a gift for someone, without the high price, I simply
found a nice frame, printed the photo smaller than the frame, so the excess
photo paper around the edges looked like a matt, ...
Canon 5D - put up or shut...24 Aug 2005 02:14 GMT39
Ok, time to have some fun in this group. We've all seen the threads
about the supposed pending announcement of the Canon 5D. For purely
entertainment value, lets keep a running total of who thinks its real,
and who doesn't.

Canon 100-400 or 300  with Rebel?23 Aug 2005 20:54 GMT13
I am trying to choose between a Canon 100-400  L IS or a 300 L IS for use
with a digital Rebel.  With the effective magnification of the body, either
lens would give a respectable telephoto length.
Anyone else out there who has already made this choice...?  ...and can you

Odd statement from Canon23 Aug 2005 07:34 GMT42
That to have implemented an anti-dust system in their top
camera would have been too expensive.
I don't get this?  Olympus E-300 is $700 and it has it.
Canon's top DSLR is $8000.00...
Dead Rebel23 Aug 2005 01:57 GMT9
I recently purchased a Canon Rebel XT.  I enjoyed using the camera for about
a week, until it started acting unreliable (pushing the shutter button - it
wouldn't take a picture, strange icons, like "busy" would appear and stay on
until restart).  About a day later, it died ...

20D Canon focus advice23 Aug 2005 00:49 GMT34
I have a nagging suspicion that the focus on my new 20D isn't all that it
should be. Do any of you have any suggestions on the best way to test this?
I was thinking of photographing a sheet of A4 "Math - graph" type paper.
If the camera's focus is out, will it be out consistently ...
20D - Program Mode Settings.22 Aug 2005 23:56 GMT14
I hope this is not too basic of a question. I know I can change aperture
and shutter speed easy while in the "P" mode. My question relates to how
long those settings stay in effect, before the camera automatically selects
it for me. It seems like it is in effect for as long as the ...
If the Canon 5D is real...22 Aug 2005 22:23 GMT348
There are going to be a sh.t-load of unhappy 1DMkII owners!
I've had another look at the PDF and although the logo looks a bit dodgy,
I think it might be legit. In which case the ante gets raised again!
One thing I know for sure is I ain't getting caught again! I will wait for
