Interesting...29 Aug 2005 04:58 GMT35
Smarterstats shows me that a total of 283 visitors looked at the page I
put up showing the photo of the plane crash on the 23rd.
Interesting...
I wonder how many people read these groups but don't participate.
bracket with raw - 350d29 Aug 2005 03:55 GMT23
Does anyone know if you can bracket exposures when shooting in raw
format?  I don't have the camera yet, that's why I'm asking...
Thanks, Brian
Pentax 1000mm reflex on EOS 10D?28 Aug 2005 18:58 GMT7
Some years ago I bought a used Pentax 1000mm reflex for my Pentax ME Super
camera. I haven't really used it the last couple of years, since I've gone
digital, but it would have been cool to be able to use this lens on my
10D... The problem though, is that this is a Pentax K-mount ...
Hasselblad release new Digital camera28 Aug 2005 17:36 GMT10
Building on the success of the H1 range of products, Hasselblad has
developed the H2D fully integrated digital camera.
Apparently it is the first digital camera to save in Adobe's "DNG"
format. Nice bit of gear. http://www.hasselblad.se Now how much?
Olympus E-300 being dumped??28 Aug 2005 16:50 GMT2
Seems like it, based on some discounts available.
Like this one from the Olympus forum on dpreview.com
Someone also mentioned getting the two-lens deal for $614.
Is a replacement on the way?

School has started, and Drive to School Hall of Shame Web Site is Up (http://drivetoschoolhallofshame.com)27 Aug 2005 19:38 GMT17
In June, I started this project, but school was almost out. Now school
has started again, and I've begun adding to the site. Now my kids are in
two different schools, so I should be able to get even more photos, and
I'm hoping to get other people to send some photos in as well. ...
Rumour;  Olympus to announce "something" Aug 29th27 Aug 2005 19:08 GMT4
Probably be a prosumer, but I hope it's a DSLR.
Canon RAW27 Aug 2005 16:52 GMT34
Last night I entered the world of RAW for the first time.  I won't shoot
anything else again.  It kinda reminds me of the film process in a way -
selecting images to convert to TIFF is like selecting images from a contact
sheet to print. I really didn't know what I was missing.

This happened on Saturday just a few clicks up the coast from me. A
light aircraft crashed into this house. Miraculously none of the
passengers was killed (or the pilot). The owner of the house was playing

SB-800 - problem?27 Aug 2005 03:57 GMT4
Cannot seem to get my SB-800 back into auto zoom mode.  The manual says that
repeatedly pressing the "one-tree" or "three-tree"
button (p. 26) will get it back to auto...didn't work.  Nor did it work
changing in custom settings (p. 70).  Also, couldn't get the zoom position
