Nikkor 70-300mm ED 10 Aug 2005 22:40 GMT7
I have just been looking at the Nikkor 70-300 f4/5.6 ED my local
camera store and would like to know what other people who have
this lens think of it.
I compared it to the cheaper non-ED version and it is much better.
A slightly noisy Rebel shot10 Aug 2005 20:12 GMT18
Not mine.   I don't see any data as to what
ISO this shot was taken at.

Just THINK of the resolution!10 Aug 2005 19:24 GMT5
Imagine if they used one of these in a DSLR.  Just consider the
physical size/resolution capability of it.  Of course low ISO
speeds would only be usable, owing to noise, but imagine if
Pentax brought out another 110-sized DSLR based on one of these
Canon Digital 350D. Basin Trials V Armchair Theoreticians. - NetObjects Fusion 4.0.lnk (0/1)10 Aug 2005 14:30 GMT16
I started photography in the 70s earning a crust here and there doing
this and that for a variety of customers but also a fair bit for
myself.  I do not regard myself a professional. I'm new to the digital
world and only after being badgered into trying it by a couple of
Nikon VR lenses + multipliers?10 Aug 2005 13:29 GMT5
Anybody know if Nikon VR lenses still do the VR magic if there is a
multiplier between them and the body?
This seems a good way to save money until I can afford some more expensive
glass.
Canon EOS 100F v Olympus OM10110 Aug 2005 11:03 GMT5
I want to get back into using SLR's (like I did in the good old days!).
I have a choice between an OM101 and an EOS1000F.
It willl be mostly used for taking pictures of fast moving vehicles - can
anyone tell me which would be the better of these 2 cameras please.
Sunpak Cyber flash10 Aug 2005 10:13 GMT6
Getting light into the interiors of automobiles, old and new, is a PITA
a lot of the time. Softboxes are too large to fit, umbrellas have a
tendency to scratch paint as they're placed, battery powered strobes
glare like crazy, and there is usually no really good place to sit a

Is my New 20D body actualy New?10 Aug 2005 03:56 GMT6
I just received a "new" Canon 20D body from Dell but I'm not sure it is
actually new.  It's very very clean, no scratches or tell tale signs that
it's been used and all the accessories and manuals etc are in sealed
packages but the box looks less then new.  There is sticker ...
Question for the geeks "Effective Pixels"09 Aug 2005 22:22 GMT17
I recently bought a D2X Nikon camera. Beautiful camera. Lovely pictures.
The best wedding digital I've owned. Nikon blurb refers to 12 megapixel
images being blah, blah, etc.
Delving into the fine print, I come across 12 million "effective
D70 Fill flash overexposed wildly09 Aug 2005 19:27 GMT21
I generally haven't paid much attention to flash, I don't know what's
going on but recently when I try popping up the flash on my D70 for
daylight fill in aperture priority, it throws the exposure way off. I
just tested & it came out fine but this has happened to me several times ...
Slave triggers for digital cameras09 Aug 2005 13:24 GMT4
A couple years ago I bought a digital slave flash trigger to use one of
my old flash units for my small digital camera.  I hoped it would allow
me to get decent pictures during things like wedding receptions where
people were 30 ft away.  The flash unit on my small digital camera ...
Which camera for lens09 Aug 2005 08:35 GMT7
I have a Nikon 28mm f/3.5 PC lens and was wondering how it would work with
any of the Nikon digital cameras.  Would it be usable on any of them, or do
I have to get a certain model?
Thanks.
Need advice09 Aug 2005 05:30 GMT12
I am finally looking to buy a good digital camera which I think are getting
better and finally with good resolution, I am looking at the new Canon rebel
Xt vs Nikon D50. I want an slr because I can buy different lenses which
would really enhance my range of pictures.
Stupid Question re Canon Digital Rebel XT08 Aug 2005 21:27 GMT10
Can I run my old pentax manual lenses with the Canon
Digital Rebel XT that just came out?  I was trying
to find the answer.  I would like to run autoexposure
sometimes with the lenses.  Is it physically
