Any tips for photographing young children (always on the move) in quite
low light condition? I don't really like the flash I  have as I find it
changes the skin natural color. Unless I tune it with my PC, but I
guess there are some good tips I can learn from some of you having a

Street and documentary photography09 Jul 2005 18:54 GMT1
what are the most common cameras/lenses for street, documentary and
photojournalism work? (including war reportage)
I don't really know this field so I wonder what kind of equipment is
best suit for it.
Konica-Minolta Kudos09 Jul 2005 14:50 GMT2
After shopping for my Max 7D and getting the best possible price last
March, you can imagine how dismayed I was when the Canadian rebate offer
came out valid from May 1 ...
But, I tried anyway, along with a letter explaining my long loyalty to
What setup do you use on people?09 Jul 2005 07:13 GMT14
Most specifically do you use filters? I don't have any filters yet, but
I'm looking at some polorazing filters for landscapes, etc. I'm just
wondering if filters work when taking posed and candid shots of people.
Also any good books or info on shooting people in general: posing,
This is my impression (Canon and Nikon)09 Jul 2005 04:18 GMT14
This is not a troll.  I dislike the idea of Nikon reduced
to a "stuggling" company, being punished for trying to
maintain quality.  It smacks of "Walmartism" on the part
of the American consumer.
Panorama Stitching Revisited09 Jul 2005 04:07 GMT6
Since I asked earlier how to rescue some panoramas that I took I think it's
only fair to report on the results.
Image #1  Since it's highly unlikely that I could re-take the pictures [it's
a long way from Maryland to the Colorado/New Mexico border area on US285, I
Nikon SB-800 vs. SB-60009 Jul 2005 03:54 GMT7
Can the SB-600 do anything that the SB-800 can't?
... Canon Rebel EOS DSLR..... home fix08 Jul 2005 21:50 GMT4
Earlier I posted problem with my camera, the sub mirror that controls or
works autofocus broke the little plastic spring thing on the right side as
you look at the camera from the front. The manual focus will work if I push
the mirror up, not work if its down because it block ...
Re: Canon Eos 1 DS Mark 2 ??08 Jul 2005 21:41 GMT30

was wondeing since this is a 16.7 megapixel camera what are the chances of

4-6 months ??
White Balance Questions08 Jul 2005 19:12 GMT18
I will soon purchase a D70s. The topic of "white balance"  to improve
digital photo light and color rendition is occasionally mentioned in
this group. It is my understanding that the white balance in the
camera needs to be adjusted whenever light conditions change. I'm

The large text on that image is at 400% - you can see the pixels
clearly.  The smaller text is 100%.  Desaturated crops for comparison of
how it *should* have looked.
Question about "raw" and in-camera image processing07 Jul 2005 05:22 GMT10
I've noticed different "looks" to pictures in
