An official letter from Leica confirms that the Digital-Modul-R is to
be delayed, despite expectations that the 10 megapixel digital back
would be available in the next few days. Leica says it is 'working
Is D50 too little, too late?13 May 2005 20:47 GMT51
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0504/05042004nikond50.asp
I am wondering what Nikon is trying to achieve with the D50. Where is the
20D competition??
The Rebel XT seems more compelling than this camera if you look at

I'm in Hawaii - hot, humid.
I just acquired a lovely EOS 20D.
Anyone care to comment on the best methods to keep this camera corrosion
free and health?

Digital back for F3?13 May 2005 17:03 GMT17
Is there any powerful digital back for F3? It would be a splendid thing for
all F3-owners. Besides, the F3 is a far better camera than the toys that are
sold today.

Non-auto tele lens on Canon EOS?13 May 2005 13:24 GMT1
I have an old 400mm non-auto (preset) T-mount telephoto for which I could
get an EOS adapter.  This would yield a 640mm lens for the Canon Rebel XT
camera arriving in a few days.
Question:  How could I meter exposures with this lens?  Having as yet no
300d vs 350d for action shots and low light13 May 2005 13:02 GMT9
I recently bought a lightly used 300d.  I've been pleased with the
results, but there are 2 gripes about it for the indoor and outdoor action
photography I do.
1) Speed - faster 'on' would be a huge asset when photographing horses.
Is the IS worth it on 70-200mm f/2.8L13 May 2005 04:55 GMT24
I have decided to make the step up to an EF 70-200mm f/2.8L for my 20D. The
only choice I need to make at this point is to decided if I need the IS
version (which adds about $500 to the already high cost). I've searched the
web quite  bit and I read varied reviews. Anyone wish to ...
Brightness Adjustments13 May 2005 04:11 GMT6
I've noticed with digital cameras, the 20D included, that the camera's LED
view is well-balanced, bright.  But when loaded on the PC the images almost
uniformly need brightness correction.  I've adjusted the gamma using the
Adobe Gamma Tool so I don't think its my monitor.
Dust on sensor13 May 2005 02:38 GMT26
who already had dust on the sensor? How did you remove it?
Dust should get easily onto the sensor.
It is bad if you have dust on the film, but since you do not exchange
the sensor, it must be worse with digital SLRs.

Does anyone know how to get the copyright symbol (the circled "cee") to come
up using Nikon Capture 4 Camera Control?

Synchronization12 May 2005 22:11 GMT5
Is there any material available on how to synchronize the shutters of two
disimilar cameras?
I would like to take my two cameras and try to construct a digital stereo
camera, but I haven't the slightest idea of how to sync the shutters.
