digital senior portrait question (printing)16 May 2005 15:59 GMT3
Anyone doing digital senior portraits?  How are you getting foil embossed
names added to the corners?  I haven't seen any printing service that does

8 megapixels, IS and high ISO noise suppression in a

software for creating panorama pictures16 May 2005 10:25 GMT13
I know, it's a little off-topic, but being photo enthusiasts I hope you can
help me.
Recently, I bought a Nikon D70s (after using a Minolta X500 for years). I am
now looking for software to automatically create panoramic views from
D70 lens choices?16 May 2005 08:58 GMT20
I'm planning to buy a Nikon D70 soon, and looking for the best

H1photo.com are offering the with-lens package for $992, which is
pretty good, but they offer the body for $757, and for lenses they
Update to EF-S lenses, what does the S do?16 May 2005 07:33 GMT8
I wanted to take a second to acknowledge all the helpful people on this NG.
As a result of replies to this question, and another titled "Buying a 20D,
should I consider a non Canon lens", I made my purchase on May 13. As a
direct result of the responses to my questions, I took ...

the body and lenses.  There are several features of the Canon D20 I like
(cost and ergonomics not being high on the list), but I am concerned about
the number of posts I see here regarding problems with ...

Better light equals better pictures.15 May 2005 18:25 GMT6
Better light equals better pictures.
Duh, I get it! BUT, I recently shot a low-light theater for an award
ceremony and presentation. I was roaming from the back of the theater
to the front with a SB-800 as my only flash source. I was using a D70

Egonomic benefit of the E-30015 May 2005 02:31 GMT1
This one came as a surprise, but it's the only
DSLR I know of you can use comfortably if you wear a hat
with a brim like a golf or baseball cap.  The
others have the peaked-roof viewfinders that would
Enlarging Digital images15 May 2005 02:27 GMT110
Some of you with long memories will remember a thread some time ago where
the high ranking poster Alan Browne and myself got into a rather involved
discussion about my algorithm for enlarging digital images. The short of it
was that he said I couldn't do what I do so I sent a ...
Brit mag letter re:  Nikon D7014 May 2005 19:08 GMT14
This was in one of the British mags, I'm sorry
I don't remember which one (they all begin to look
the same) but a D70 owner said they were experiencing
image motion (blur) when using the D70 on a tripod
