Raw - nef format04 May 2005 14:42 GMT1
Hi, there. I have bought a new D70s, and have some questions:
- When does it pay to use the NEF format? The editing possibilities seem to
be similar to JPG?
- Which program do you recommend to edit NEF files?
Best place for large prints?04 May 2005 06:18 GMT3
Curious as to where the best place is to upload photos for large prints.
Also, what should one take into consideration when preparing an image for
creating large prints to get the best results from these places?  (Shooting
with a D70.)  Obviously, there is no way of knowing ...

18-125mm & 18-200mm DSL lenses03 May 2005 16:05 GMT2
Question: Has anyone tried these lenses from Sigma and Tamron?
It seems to me that they would , for the most part, eliminate changing
lenses for different views,(wide angle/telephoto). .   With the CCD/CMOS/
35mm film correction, (1.6-1.5X), The Fl would be about 28-200mm and

What kind of flash arrangement for macro?03 May 2005 15:04 GMT32
Generally, using built-in or regular camera top
flashes don't work well for close-in macro, too bright
and undirectable.
So would you rather use some kind of flash arragement
Acer CR-5130 digicam: rechargeable batteries included?03 May 2005 07:13 GMT1
Has anyone bought this camera (Acer CR-5130 5mp Digital Camera) or
knows if rechargeable batteries will be included with it?
I'm thinking about buying it as a present for someone's birthday and
want it to come working out of the box. The person isn't very tech
SLR lens on a digital SLR03 May 2005 06:19 GMT14
Please excuse my ignorance, but I still have a Minolta 7000i (from the late 1980's),
along with several lenses. Am I correct that I could use these lenses on a digital
SLR, such as the Maxxum 7D? Would they in some way be out of date, or is there some
other 'gotcha' with using ...
20D;  Camera equivalent of God?03 May 2005 06:09 GMT47
Based on review after review, pitting this thing
against everything in it's class, that is the impression
I've gotten.  I'd love to know how long it took Canon to
develop it and how they decided to go with it's design

I have just got myself a Canon 300d (digital rebel). In the process of

itself to the usb port, the Found New Hardware message came up ...
Circular Polarizer filter recommendations02 May 2005 16:35 GMT3
I thought this was going to be easy, but I can't figure out which filter
to get. The price ranges are ail over the place.
Any have any favorites? I like the look effect the warming polarizers.
