| How to determine if there is dust on ccd | 28 Apr 2005 00:35 GMT | 6 |
I've been to take some photos with my Nikon D70 camera and I used maximum resolution. When I had a look at the photos in actual pixels view, I noticed I had around 20 places where the image was showing dark areas. I presumed they might come from the lens or filter. I am curious ...

| Best Internet Shop for Digital Rebel XT/350? | 27 Apr 2005 23:45 GMT | 10 |
I hope this is not an improper post. I would appreciate any suggestions for the best internet vendor (price-wise) for a Canon Digital Rebel XT and the 17-85MM F4-5.6 EF-S IS USM AF zoom lens. I've been lurking for a while, and this seems to be the best

| 20D as point & shoot? | 27 Apr 2005 23:38 GMT | 35 |
Something just occurred to me... I have an Olympus Camedia point & shoot. (I'm really happy with the model that I have.) Now if I buy the 20D, will I be able to use that effectively as a point & shoot? I just assumed no, because I have an 35mm slr that's about 25 years old ...

| Contax; What happened to the $7900 DSLR? | 27 Apr 2005 12:37 GMT | 3 |
That camera looked different, it had different specs than what is offered today. At the time, it's pixel count was astonishing, but did they ever build it? Is Contax going to be like Leica, having to put their badge

| From 2mp to 6mp | 27 Apr 2005 04:24 GMT | 5 |
Thought it was my turn to throw myself to the wolves :) Just a little collection that's mixed with my good ole P and S Canon A20 2mp and my newer DSLR Pentax *ist 6.1mp. What I find interesting is that if you like the shot, the camera doesn't matter.

| How did Nikon take a back seat to Canon? | 27 Apr 2005 01:03 GMT | 167 |
It's pretty clear that in the entry and the pro level, Nikon DSLRs lag behind Canons. It's interesting that Canon, the also-ran of SLRs would be able to jump into such a huge lead. Granted, Canon always had the most

I saw the D100 going for about $120 less than the D70. Same lens. -Rich

| Well, it's official | 26 Apr 2005 18:46 GMT | 17 |
I just got a message from Nikon in my mailbox officially introducing the D50 and the D70s. I guess the rest will depend on the pricing, and whether they can go head to head with Canon. I can see a lot of newbies jumping on the D50, simply because it's a Nikon, but I can't see a ...

| Multi-Exposure | 26 Apr 2005 16:18 GMT | 22 |
I think the answer is probably NO, but does any of the digital SLR have the ability to perform multiple exposure? My elan-II E allows this, and I use it alot. Thanks!

| Intentionally induce iris flares? | 26 Apr 2005 16:14 GMT | 7 |
Hi. I'm wondering what causes the cascading iris diaphragham flare, and I don't know if I'm describing it correctly. I know it's overused, but I think it can add a nice "this was taken with a camera" touch to certain shots. If you wanted this effect, how would you make it ...

Has anyone tried using a T2 adapter to fit the D70 to a telescope? Does it work? What limitations are there? Are there different types of T2 adapters? /Mathias

| Scanner Reviews | 26 Apr 2005 15:03 GMT | 1 |
Some time back a site was discussed that contained reviews of scanners. My scanner just died, so I need to buy a new one. Can anyone give me the address of that site? I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

| More camera dealer slime | 26 Apr 2005 13:34 GMT | 4 |
I saw this in with places offering the Olympus FL-50, a $500+ flash unit. This thing from China looks "kind" of like a Vivitar 285, except that it's sensor is fixed, but the style and battery door position appear to be like the Vivitar. No doubt some Chinese
