Lens Suggestion for Canon06 Apr 2005 19:29 GMT20
I'm looking for a good walk around lens for a 350XT.  The kit lens is a
borderline throw away, and the Canon 17-85 is expensive for such a slow
lens.  Also,  I'd prefer not to buy digital only lenses, because I hope that
Canon will eventually come out with prosumer level sensors ...
Elements 3 or Paint Shop Pro 906 Apr 2005 18:05 GMT16
Anyone been able to compare both? Which one is better for jpeg
tweaking/fixing?
I was able to download and test Paint Shop, which I liked.... wasn't
able to test drive Elements; my system doesn't like Adobe's setup file.
D-70 Lens recommendations06 Apr 2005 07:13 GMT2
I recently went to digital slr and I'm now trying to decide which lenses I
think I will no longer be happy toting around.  Just turning 70 and no
longer have the energy to tote a backpack loaded with current system.
I've 7 af nikkors and I'm noting that I no longer use my favorite ...

20D image count05 Apr 2005 22:00 GMT7
How many RAW+JPG images can a 20D fit onto a 1GB card?  (I'm going to
make a stretch and assume a 2GB can fit twice as many as a 1GB, so let
me know if that's different.)
TIA,
Dual Battery charger for BP511 batteries05 Apr 2005 19:07 GMT17
I'm look for a battery charger which can charge two BP511's at time.
The only one I find is Canon which doesn't have a car power outlet
adapter and is ridiculously expense.
Anyone know of any alternative?
Seeking recommendations on new SLR for wildlife photography05 Apr 2005 16:47 GMT15
Hi. I have very little advanced of cameras and photography but I haven't let
that stop me from taking lots of pictures. Now I'm looking to upgrade to a
SLR so I'm hoping someone here can give me a few recommendations on
camera/lens combos that I should consider.
Nikon / Tokina 12-24 f/4 focus speed?05 Apr 2005 15:56 GMT10
I'm considering the Nikon DX AF-S 12-24 f/4 or the Tokina 12-24 f/4...the
test reports I've seen indicate that the Tokina is an excellent lens in
terms of optical and build quality.  Does anyone know how it compares to the
Nikon AF-S lens in terms of focus speed?
Canon EOS 350D (RebelXT) vs. Nikon D1X05 Apr 2005 14:52 GMT2
Hi! I've decided to buy a digital SLR, and I'm considering either a new
Canon 350D (RebelXT) or a used Nikon D1X.
I've used the Nikon D1X for about a year now as an army journalist. A
brilliant camera, and with time I have really learned how to use it.
dust mores?05 Apr 2005 02:11 GMT5
i tried finding dust motes on my 20d following the article in the
'photoshop user' mag and put the camera on a tripod, set my 100mm lens
to 3 foot manually, iso 100 and took some pix of a white wall inside
and a clear blue s. calif. sky outside.  i then opened the raw file in
CCD cleaning in the 7D04 Apr 2005 11:49 GMT19
When I got my 7D I was going through the menus and found a CCD cleaning
option. I didn't think mine came with the feature. I was reading the manual
today and got to one of the menu sections. It showed the CCD cleaning option
and had a reference page for more info (pg. 145), but ...
Older Canon digital cam for EF lenses?02 Apr 2005 23:18 GMT3
I'm a complete digital camera novice, but have been using my Canon EOS
35mm camera for a bunch of years.  I'd like to get a digital body for
use with my EF lenses, and in order to keep it as cheap as possible I'd
love to find something used.
