I just arrived from the most important shoot in my life and found
almost all of my files my raw files incomplete or corrupted. I am

I have finally decided to plunge for a 350D. What is the best CF card to
buy for this camera? I am kinda deciding betweeen the following:
1. Sandisk Ultra II 1GB
2. Sandisk Extreme III 1GB

I'm a new user of a Canon EOS 300D, I used to download directly from the
Camera using the Canon FileViewer utility, and do so at 300 pixels/inch. (at
USB 1.1 which is way too slow)
I have bought a USB 2.0 CF reader, and it seems to download at 180 pixels /

Any good or bad experience with these. Curious if worth the
investment.

Is there any type of plastic film or ?? that one can put on the LCD to  
protect it from scratches?

Every tiime I "test drive" the D70 at the camera shop the photos come out  on the dark side.
Today I had the camera guy take some and even he agrees they are on the dark side by about 1 or 2 stops.
He switched to manual metering from auto or pattern mode.

I would appreciate a referral to a source for an inexpensive wide angle
lense for the FZ10. I don't need studio quality, simply the ability to
shoot smallish rooms for real estate ads. Hopefully under $125, or am I
simply dreaming

I am planning to buy that SLR with kit lens so is that good buy? Right now
have Powershot A70 and i am little bit more into photography but i don't
want to spend so much money. Is that lens (18-55) usable for someone like me
(amateur) but still want to get better pictures ...

Having done a cursory exploration of the bw setting - eg changed a few
parameters and took some shots; what is the benefit of it? I suppose
to direct print...but frankly i get more satisfaction turning my
colored shots to bw..and dabbling a bit with them in photoshop?
