My memory card frequently shows old thumbnail images yet when I open
them they are the new ones that have replaced the old ones.  I tried
refreshing the Windows Explorer folder to no avail.  If I modify the
picture in any way the thumbnail shows the most recent version OK.  What

That was a med-quality JPG out of the camera.  I had Elements 2.0 with
no RAW plugin, no 16 bit capability.

Ok, I can understand the Raw only camp and the JPG only camp, but why in  
the world would you want to shoot Raw+JPG.
I just blew thru 1 gig shooting Raw+JPG and both look identical to me.

The local camera store has 350XT's in stock.  I went by this afternoon and
compared one to a Nikon D70.  Now, I'm perplexed...
The Canon's feature set is arguably better.  In particular, the 2 extra MP

I understand PS CS has a raw file plugin but when I try to open any
raw files from my 7D I get the following message, "could not complete
your request because it is not the right kind of document."
Does anyone know what might cause this?

It's above the 20D canon (IMO) but below that $7000 thing
from Canon.  Is it "pro" or is it the high end of "prosumer?"
