Some sites like Yahoo and Shuterfly allow the viewer to order prints
online.  I was wondering if there are any websites that allow you to
display your photos and get a cut if anyone wants to download them or
order prints?

Has anyone seen one of these?  I just saw it listed on Canon's
website.  Are they actually in stores?

I am looking for a fixed aperture lens as primary walkaround lens for
my Maxxum 5. The candidates are:
- Tamron 28-75mm XR Di
- Sigma 24-70mm EX (the new one)

Broken camera or stupid newbie stunt.  Took my new D70 out of the box,
mounted a lens, put a set of fresh lithiums in it and turned it on.  The
language selection screen came up as promised, but the cursor control button
would not move to another selection nor would the "enter" ...

I've had a Canon D30 for a few years and it's been splendid.
Problem now with the mirror staying up and the shutter staying open

I finally took a plunge and bought the Rebel XT with the 17-85mm IS USM
lens. I also planned to buy another 50mm f/1.8 or f/1.4 lens together
with some cleaning supplies. Right now, my camera and lenses are sitting
pretty in their boxex. I need some recommendation on what ...

I'm thinking about a 2GB or 4GB micro drive, as opposed to a compact
flash card.  How much harder are the drives on the batteries then the
cards?  Is there a significant difference?

Sigma makes a constant aperture 18-50/2.8 in Canon's EF-S mount.
28-70 seems to be a popular zoom category for film; this would give
a similar field of view for cameras with 1.6 crop factors.  I have
not heard a lot about it here, nor on photo.net, nor anywhere else.

What constant-aperture wide-angle or wide-to-normal/slight-tele
zooms lenses do people here like for EF or EF-S mount?
F/4 is a little slow for a walking-around lens for me, but Canon's

I own 3 Canon lenses,
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 that came w/ Digital Rebel
EF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 V USM  that came w/EOS Elan II
EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 III USM.

I just compiled the results from 18 respondants.
Two respondants had the Oly system with integral dust removal.  The
numbers have been adjusted where appropriate to account for them.
Average TTFD: (Time to first dust): 1.6 months.
