D70, iTTL, off-camera flash, multiflash (long)31 Mar 2005 22:40 GMT9
Anyone here have much experience with multiple flashes and
the D70, using iTTL? (Or any of the Nikon exposure automation
and connection tools, including the SU-4 optical slave unit).
I just finished reading through the SB-800 book and the flash
Links to Nikon D50 and D70S manuals added to http://digitalslrinfo.com31 Mar 2005 21:42 GMT28
I've added links to PDFs of the Nikon D50 and D70S manuals to my site,
at "http://digitalslrinfo.com". Here are the links I added:

D70 with SB800 issue31 Mar 2005 15:26 GMT4
I believe that I recently got trapped by some switch settings while using
the SB800 with my D70.  The flash was set for TTL and all my pictures were
substantially over-exposed.  It turns out that I had inadvertantly set the
in-camera flash compensation, using the button to the ...
using DSLR lenses in manual SLRs31 Mar 2005 08:01 GMT5
I really love my new Pentax *ist DS that came with the 18-55 kit lens.
Because of the 1.5x factor, this lens give me a 35mm equivalent of 28-80 I
think. I was wondering if I can use this lens in my Pentax ZX-M manual SLR
system for films. That will save me from buying that 18-35 ...
350 v. 20d31 Mar 2005 06:35 GMT3
has anyone published a review of both images and handling of the rebel
350 and canon 20d - using the same lenses, taking the same pix etc? is
there any disadvantage other than the perhaps 0.3 megpixel difference
in their chips?
What is the max number of shots?31 Mar 2005 01:05 GMT22
Every srl has a limit of shots.
What is the max number of shots for D70 and 350D?
Anybody knows it?
Thanks.
Tests of IS on Canon 75-300 IS30 Mar 2005 23:09 GMT2
I've just been idly taking some comparison shots with a Canon 75-300 IS,
with and without stabiliser switched on.
The results surprised me so much I repeated them several times to be sure.
I used the lens at full telephoto on a 300D
One pet peeve about my 350D30 Mar 2005 23:07 GMT9
Alright, so the battery life could be better, especially when using the
flash. But, why can't you download images to your PC even if the battery
is low!?!?!?!
I mean, a USB cable is more than capable of carrying some juice, so why
Faulty Canon 350d30 Mar 2005 22:58 GMT1
Just got my new camera tonight and the two buttons on the back of the camera
at the top right hand side don't stand slightly proud of the body so its
virtually impossible to press them. They should look like the one's in the

Olympus FL-50 Battery Door30 Mar 2005 22:19 GMT5
Does anyone here know the proper procedure to remove, without breaking,
the battery door on an Olympus FL-50 flash?  Any help is greatly
appreciated, thanks!

Anybody come up with a decent way to copy slides?30 Mar 2005 16:13 GMT3
I have a D70, and because of the 1.5x factor I can't use my old 55 micro
with the slide copy attachment as it crops the slide.  Anybody come up with
a gizmo to copy slides:  And yes, I know a "real" slide scanner will do a
better job.

What can cause this hexagon shaped thing?

And I'm assuming my sensor is pretty filthy ?
ScanDisk Extreme ??30 Mar 2005 07:29 GMT14
I'm using a D70 with a Scandisk Extreme 1 gig mem card, and shooting
raw it shows it only holds 94 shots.  Shouldn't it hold about twice
that amount. I've formatted both in camera and using fat 32.  No
difference.  Ken
Upgrade 20D firmware from V1.0.230 Mar 2005 06:50 GMT5
I see Canon is up to 1.1.
I've not experienced problems so I don't have a compelling reason to
upgrade.  Can someone give me one?
Jim
