| bait & switch usaphotonation.com | 30 Nov 2004 16:25 GMT | 1 |
Don't buy from USAphotonation.com. It is a bait and switch operation. In my case they advertised a new Nikon 8080 on their website at an unbeatable low price. So, I ordered it on their website, along with some accessories. Soon after I got a phone call from their salesmen

| nikon 55mm f/1.2 over various 50mm f/1.4 | 29 Nov 2004 18:36 GMT | 3 |
I'm playing with an AI'd 55m f/1.2 on a D70 at the moment trying to work out whether to add it to my collection of an AIS 50mm f/1.4 and an AF 50mm f/1.4 (first version). At this point, I'd consider it potentially useful as a portrait-lens if it had a nice OOF rendition

| light meter question (still about the Olympus C-2100uz) | 29 Nov 2004 12:57 GMT | 6 |
Ok, just on the off chance that I can be any more confused about the Olympus c-2100uz, I have one more question. Should I invest in a light meter? I have been looking at several but the cost leaves me breathless ... thanks.

This is still about my Olympus c-2100uz. If anyone can figure out why I cannot reply to a post I would dearly appreciate it. Now, I have several different lenses, filters etc for this camera. Are you saying that the lenses I have are not considered 'interchangeable'? If

| Death of a 20D | 28 Nov 2004 16:17 GMT | 10 |
Talk about pissed off? I just bought a few grand's worth of lenses for my 20D. I paid for them by selling the remaining EOS film cameras I had. Almost on queue, the 20D decided to act up. Focus all over the place, switching off

| Rugged Digital SLR? | 28 Nov 2004 07:11 GMT | 11 |
I need a rugged digital SLR -- one that can stand getting a bit dirty or sandy damp. I don't need a huge resolution (1600x1200 is probably adequate), but I would like good telephoto performance for wildlife photography.

| The performance of CF card | 25 Nov 2004 04:06 GMT | 3 |
Do the speed of the card contribute significantly to the response of the camera? Say 300D/DRebel Does the 8X, 13X card severely decrease the speed of the camera? Anyway I would expect there is a saturation...i.e. the 40X performs

| Pentax *ist DS Lens and External Flash Compatibility | 24 Nov 2004 19:15 GMT | 2 |
I have an old Sunpak 522 external handle-mount flash unit and a set of photo-strobes that I used to use for portrait work back when I was shooting nothing but 35mm. I'm now thinking about getting a digital SLR that can use my stock of Pentax K-mount lenses and my flash units.
