Someone gave me an old enlarger. It has no markings on it, but it came
with a set of Paterson trays, Paterson tongs and a Paterson 3 element
lens, so I'm guessing it is a Paterson enlarger.
I have no data on it's age, but it came with a bulk loader still contaning

I know nothing about cold heads (except being bald in a Minnesota Winter).
Need something for the 8x10 Saltzman enlarger. On EvilBay there is an Aristo
T12.
Seller wants $575 BIN. Here is the ad copy:

Another depressing data point: today I saw an Omega enlarger put out on
the curb on my way home. (A little 35mm one.) Nearly complete.

I am well aware that probably all modern enlarger lenses are pretty good.
The question arises, is the Componon HM series any advantage for black &
white printing
over the Componon -S

How many volumn of solution do I need at least to smoothly process
print paper in a 12x16 tray?  I am afraid my 2 liter bottle is not
enough to do this.  Thanks.

Here's something interesting that was discovered after separately developing
two rolls of 35mm T-Max film: a type of apparent exposure outside of the
sprocket holes, starting at the beginning of the roll and tapering off in
intensity and width, disappearing completely after about ...
