Basic question about contrast and gamma27 Feb 2008 02:28 GMT10
Hi ng,
I'm just begining to dive into the photographic process, so my
practical experience is still scarse. - I try to figure out the basics
in a theoretical way first. In case of the negative/positive process
Kodak Poster25 Feb 2008 21:32 GMT3
I just got a hold of an old Kodak poster at an auction over the
weekend.  It's 19"x30" in sepia.  The words "Kodak Keeps Them Little"
across the top, a picture of a little girl on a tree branch holding a
teddy bear, and the words "Enlarged from a snapshot made on Kodak
Some simple questions about Single-Tray Processing24 Feb 2008 01:47 GMT39
Since I've not managed to reache Lloyd Erlick's web site, so I like to
ask some basic questions about how to exactly do single-tray printing
here. Hope you professionals be kind to give me some clear answers.
Thanks in advance.
B&W film developing questions23 Feb 2008 20:43 GMT89
Ok, I just developed my first 3 rolls of film at home, and except for a
little bit of dust on the last roll the results are excellent.  I'll
sporadically be developing more over the next couple of months.
I'm using Rodinal, Arista's indicator stop bath, Arista's Universal
Developing C-41 APS film at home with black and white chemicals22 Feb 2008 23:16 GMT4
I know this borders on the ridiculous. Someone advertised an APS camera
for sale on a local mailing list, and this brought back memories. I have
several APS cameras all bought for nearly nothing years ago and a lot of
C-41 APS film, all bought out of date and they sat at room ...
Leitz Focomat IIa glass film holder17 Feb 2008 16:17 GMT19
I am so bummed out.  Dropped and scratched the double-glass film holder for
the Focomat IIa. I have never seen them FS or auction.
Any ideas on what kind of glass I should be looking for? I think I may have
no choice but to cut a couple glass 4x5 holders and shim them tight. Until ...

Ilford EXPRESS paper10 Feb 2008 14:17 GMT12
I have the opportunity to buy vast quantities of Ilford Express paper in 10"
and 5" rolls from 50 to 100' lenghts.
While I have read Ilford's literature on this stuff, I can't sift the BS
from what might be important to a serious (eg not mass-consumption) printer.
Darkroom safe light09 Feb 2008 23:24 GMT8
Hi, I've had a discussion with a friend of mine about darkroom safe
light.
Even if on Ilford Multigrade paper box a light brown safelight is
indicated, in my opinion a red safelight works well too. Or, better,
Jobo ATL 1000 handbook06 Feb 2008 07:43 GMT3
Hi! Does anyone have a handbook for the Jobo ATL 1000? (Jobo has only the
1500 hb). Regards - hermann -
Home printing suggestions03 Feb 2008 05:27 GMT42
Ok, so I found an Omega B-22 with safelight, timer, lenses, neg carriers and
a couple of 11x14  trays for $75.
I'll be doing both fiber and RC so need some ultra-economic ideas (both
cost-wise and space-wise) for washing, squeeging and drying.
