Registration Punch - Can you ID this one Pease30 Jan 2008 06:13 GMT1

That is a scan of a Linhof negative punch. Would anyone here know, or even
guess if it has an approximate print frame or negative carrier?
Thank you in advance!
What kind of dry-mount press?28 Jan 2008 15:19 GMT2
Saw a type of dry-mount press I'd never seen before at my local
recycled-goods place. It's definitely not a Seal, Inc. press, which is
the only type I've seen until now. This one has a larger frame, and in
addition to the heated platen and bed, there's an intermediate part with
Did I mess up big time? (Ilford MC filtering)23 Jan 2008 01:39 GMT22
I'm on the edge of beating myself up. I got a very clean Ilford 400
enlarging head. It mounted properly to my enlarger. Tomorrow I will get some
more paper with the intent of using it.
But the filters are Yellow and Magenta.
Gamma of color printing paper20 Jan 2008 13:02 GMT3
dear ng,
just beginng to dive into the subject matter of the negative-positive
process I stumbled upon the data sheets of Kodak color printing papers
and wondered why they all show such steep characteristic curves.
Zone VI cold light head18 Jan 2008 11:22 GMT5
There's a decent looking Beseler 23 series with a cold light head on
Craigslist.
I've read that one needs to do additional filtration on the cold light
heads.  Is that true?  If so, what type of filter?
Photography And The Cell Phone15 Jan 2008 02:18 GMT2
Almost every modern cell phone has a camera feature. Though they are
far away from modern
quality digital camera, cell phone cameras can still be used to
produce good quality photographs.
Two Kodak products13 Jan 2008 01:19 GMT1
Hi, a friend of mine who is no more printing in darkroom gave me some
cans of kodak D-11 developer and Kodak Unifix fixer. Here are the
questions:
- does D-11 really give a very high contrast with paper? I do not

Enlarger question10 Jan 2008 05:52 GMT12
I've been poking around on Ebay and Craigslist and there are some reasonble
enlargers available at the moment, several Beseler 23c series.
What's the most basic enlarger that I can do 35mm, 6x4.5, and 6x6 negatives,
and up to 11x14 prints?
Color printing paper04 Jan 2008 11:02 GMT15
I'm very much interested in color printing with enlarger and I would
like to ask some questions to experts of this group
1- Which 4x5" films are actually available for color printing?
2- Which color paper is available for color printing using
T Max processing03 Jan 2008 04:57 GMT4
I usually don't use T Max but that was all I could get this week at the
local camera store (they DO stock film but are moving soon and have a
reduced stock at the moment). Do I have to use T Max developer or can I
use the old faithful D76. Or is there something else better for T ...
Dumb question re: processing 4x503 Jan 2008 03:02 GMT29
I'm sorry if this has been answered before.  This is a legit question so
please bear with me.
My set up is not optimum.  I do not have a dedicated darkroom (for now at
least).  I've done many many rolls of film over the years.  I throw
Another one bites the dust02 Jan 2008 02:25 GMT34
So I talked to the person today who I am pretty sure was the last to
operate a commercial wet color darkroom here in the San Francisco East
Bay, and sure enough, as I suspected since he just recently moved, his
darkroom didn't make the move. (His business was previously called
B/W print turned mottled gold01 Jan 2008 03:06 GMT12
I'm in trouble.
I sent my mother-in-law a really nice B/W
print that I made and after about a year,
the black areas turned an ugly mottled gold
