I'm practicing darkroom work for about 5 months now as a hobby using Tri-X and X-Tol(1:1) as my film/dev combo, printing my 35mm Neg's on Multigrade RC-Paper from 18x24 to 24x30 (cm), so my experience is pretty moderate.

Is it true that in the days of B&W film and optical track audio, that the films were formatted differently in different countries? When magnetic videotapes were the norm, USA and Canada used NTSC, France and Russia used SECAM, and the rest of the world used PAL.

Hi, becaise it no more possible to find lith film I need to try with a qute common film to obtain very high contrasted pictures. I have Efke KB 25 and Rollei PAN 25 at home. Can anybody suggest a developer to have extremely contrasted subjects?

I've been using Ilford Multigrade paper and filters for years, with the filters, in the above-neg position, being the usual (so I hitherto thought) range between 1 and 6 in 1/2 grade increments, ranging in colour from a light orange to a dense pink.

I had to go into town today and felt well enough to stop at a camera store on the way home. There are two with darkroom supplies and I went to the one I prefered in the past. I was surpised, a few years ago it was full to the brim with people

I may have to do a project which uses RA4 type color paper, but want to end up with a B&W silver image. Can I process the silver in this and get rid of the incorporated dye somehow? gr
