What film was used for Apollo missions?31 Aug 2007 22:58 GMT5
I was puzzled by some comments in these articles about the Apollo mission
regarding the resolution of color film being scanned. Anyone here know
what was being used, and why a 2800 ppi scan would be "well past the
grain" of a 6x6 frame, as is claimed in these articles?

it wasn't easy.

Safelights and paper developer?25 Aug 2007 20:29 GMT33
I need to outfit my darkroom with safelights. I currently have
red safelights, which I am not fond of, but seems to be all
that I can find here. :-(
Someone gave me a Kodak safelight (large cone-shaped thing with
Filtration21 Aug 2007 14:43 GMT9
Have just started using Forte Polywarmtone FB paper, using Agfa neutol
warmtone dev, however I cannot find any instructions as to what filtration
to use
for different grades needed. I have a Durst 707 enlarger.
Ansel Adams exhibit20 Aug 2007 00:54 GMT12
I don't know why I put off visiting the Ansel Adams exhibit at the
Cleveland Institute of Art for so long. The Meredith family collection of
110 of Adams' prints is truly amazing. Seeing many of the prints in person
that I have in books was quite an eye-opener. The books do not do ...

work well? Is it worth buying?
Thanks!
Heiland SPL-COMF Comfortbox12 Aug 2007 22:12 GMT1
In the Monochrom catalog I found this item, the Heiland SPL-COMF
Comfortbox http://monochrom.com/cc/monoc/shop/rmiArt003.asp?artnum=00021995
, which seems to replace the normal light bulb in the enlarger. I can't
find much other information on it. Does anyone has experience with ...
Stand development - Uneven07 Aug 2007 16:52 GMT41
Ok chaps,
it is not my week.  Tried stand development.  FP4+ exposed at 125.  Rodinal
1:150 for 1 hour, no agitation.  Patterson tank and reals. 600ml dev (500ml
needed to cover spool).  Could be just a fluke as I normally don't have
Landscapes in low contrast light06 Aug 2007 00:23 GMT17
I recently shot a roll of 35mm film; mostly landscape in cloudy
conditions. Since I use grade2 paper, I decided
to increase contrast by developing for more time.
I learnt from rec.photo.darkroom that an increse of approximately 30

Source for anti Newton glass03 Aug 2007 18:46 GMT1
I believe one was mentioned on this list about a year ago, but I can't find
the reference. I need a second sheet of glass to hold my negs flat in my
flat bed scanner. Hopefully I'll be able to proof an entire roll of 35 mm in
a single scan. Microtek 1800f if anyone needs to know.
How to influence grain in color process?02 Aug 2007 19:14 GMT4
Dear ng,
As far as I understand it the grain in the bw negative can to some
extend be controlled by choice of the developer. MicrodolX is among
others said to produce a slightly grainier impression than e.g.
