Dye stability with CD-410 Jan 2007 01:14 GMT1
How much of an effect would using CD-4 have on the archival qualities of
RA-4 color prints? How long would they last without fading? The reason I am
asking is the small RA-4 kits available in my area contain CD-4,and my
chemical suppliers don't carry CD-3 for mixing from scratch ...

Please help. I put a T3110 over a piece of Agfa Warmtone Fiber VC paper with
a #2 filter and received the following results:
- No differentiation between steps two and three. So three is "black".
- Highest step read is differentiation between 20 and 21 (even slightly at

Hi, I'm looking for a film to substitute Kodak Technical Pan. I'm

in Italy. What do you think about this film compared with Tech Pan?
Thanks all
Glass or plastic for Sodium metaborate solution (PMK B)?06 Jan 2007 01:31 GMT1
This is for (relatively) long-term storage of the PMK B solution.  I've got
both types available, just wondering if one might be preferable.
Thanks.

Lens cone for150mm on Omega D2v06 Jan 2007 01:31 GMT1
On my Omega D2v, I am presently using a 2 3/4 inch cone for a 135mm
enlarging lens and a 4 1/2 inch lens cone for a 162mm lens.  I'm
awaiting delivery of a 150mm enlarging lens.
Which cone should I use with the 150mm, the 2 3/4 or 4 1/2 in.?

Arista Ortho Lith Film Problem03 Jan 2007 00:25 GMT24
I've been trying out Arista Ortho Lith Film, as an alternative to
Bergger, for negatives used for platinum prints. Sometimes the negs
work really well (although the mix of developers is rather odd).
BUT, on many occasions, weird circles appear on the surface of the
Fixing PMK Pyro01 Jan 2007 09:32 GMT2
I know TF-4 is the recommended fixer for PMK and TMX-100. How about Kodak
Rapid Fix without Part B (the hardener). Can this also work or will problems
result? Thx.
