6.8cm x 5.4cm nagative carrier !?19 Jun 2006 16:03 GMT10
i got a negative carrier on hand, it gets a hole sized of 6.8cm x 5.4,
is it for 120 film?  i've never played with 120 format, but i know one
kind of 120 is 6cmx4.5cm,  i just don't know why this carrier sized so
strange, why not it be exactly 6cmx4.5cm ?  you know, the 35mm carrier

I've posted this message to the medium-format website but I am also posting
it here with the hope of getting more suggestions for a solution (or
direction toward solution) since this newsgroup has greater traffic.
I have a problem with one of my RB lenses that I am hoping someone ...
Glass carriers and eyeglass cleaner19 Jun 2006 13:23 GMT1
I recently acquired an Omega D5xl enlarger that came with
a couple of glass negative carriers (35mm and 6x9) as well
as an assortment of glassless ones. The glass carriers were
not clean when I got them and even after I had a good go at
When to Have Paper White In A Print19 Jun 2006 00:25 GMT3
What's the general consensus about having "paper white" in a B&W photo.
Should even the whitest of clouds always be a little greyer than the edge of
the paper? Should I be moving to a lower contrast filter if my sky is the
same colour as my paper? Thx.
Manual for a Jobo Colorstar 30017 Jun 2006 20:04 GMT5
I am missing one page out of my Colorstar 300 manual.  Could someone
here make a copy of it for me?  I would be eternally grateful, and
would even offer a bribe :).
Thanks

Problems with print consistency part II17 Jun 2006 16:33 GMT3

wide angle enlarger lens17 Jun 2006 02:09 GMT2
I guess for 35mm negs, a 38mm f4 Bessler.
Will the enlargements be bigger, for example, if I can only make an
8x10 with a 50mm now, will I be able to make an 11x14 with the 38mm?
Will there be some distortion, the way a wide angle lens effects an
Tray Cleaner TC-1 Alternative?15 Jun 2006 23:44 GMT3
I'm short on sulfuric acid at the moment. (Could I just use common car
battery acid? I do have a spare battery sitting in the garage...) Is there
another recommended tray cleaner besides TC-1? This might sound crazy but
has anybody try TC-1 for cleaning resin/plastic patio ...

Lightproofing Exhaust Fan14 Jun 2006 19:36 GMT5
Using a typical bathroom fan, does putting two 90 degree bends in the
exhaust pipe/tube eliminate light coming in from outside? Also, does
anyone have any creative inexpensive ways of keeping b&w chemicals at
an apropriate temperature? I'm thinking a heating pad on low under the

I've been trying to print this material using my Beseler 45 Universal
enlarger Head without success.  Filtration is Y17, M00, C10.  Recommended
exposure time, according to Shule's Book "Cibachrome Printing", would be 22
seconds as a start for an 8X10.  However, following these ...
