[I posted this on this newsgroup because someone suggested
to me that a darkroom timer would do the trick, but I haven't yet
located an appropriate model.]

"safe" light?26 Feb 2006 23:16 GMT6
Hello all...
I haven't been in a darkroom since high school, and that's nearing 40
years, so there's a lot of re-learning to do... a short series of

Help Regarding Print Dryer and Asbestos26 Feb 2006 19:23 GMT2
Could I pick your collective brains. I am disposing of an old Nova
Fibre Based Print Dryer but have been told that the older models may
contain asbestos. I was wondering if anyone had any idea if the unit
does contain asbestos. I purchased this machine in around 1993 - 1995.
Quick question.25 Feb 2006 15:56 GMT6
I have a 4 inch B & W negative from the early 60's that I would like to
blow up and make a print out of it.  Rather than trying to find someone
with a darkroom in their basement, is there a good software program that
could do this for me.  I would be scanning it first, but this ...
Historical Carbs and Oils25 Feb 2006 02:23 GMT3
I'm just reading an article in the April issue of B&W magazine (vol 8,
#42, p.46) in which a tri-color carbro process is described. While I believe
that the writer botched the description it has reminded me that I don't have
a clear understanding of the differences between ...

Is HE-1 Safe to Use?21 Feb 2006 03:32 GMT4
HE-1, hypo eliminator, is suggested when cloth contaminated
with fixer needs cleaning. Dilution of the usual full strength
is mentioned but not by what amount.

Enlarging 6x12 negatives21 Feb 2006 00:15 GMT6
How are 6x12cm negatives enlarged with a Beseler 45 enlarger? Is there a
glass-less 6x12 negative carrier or should one modify a 6x9 carrier? I
know a 4x5" glass negative carrier can be used, but would prefer a
glass-less solution.
