How do I choose a film scanner?05 Nov 2005 03:05 GMT14
I've decided to scan my thousands of 35mm negatives and slides. The
largest they will usually be be is 640x480, occasionally 800x600. if
they do get printed, the largest I print is 8x10.
Now, how do I choose a scanner? Obviously it should be USB 2.0 due to

anyone know what kind of spray coating to use to make inkjet paper, or
any way to make inkjet paper?

I have a CPE2 but no insts. How much water is recommended in the trough?
Should the proc.tank actually run in an inch or so of water? This seems a
bit messy.

Just sharing this in case anyone's interested.
   Mixing was longer and more difficult than I expected, perhaps, due to 2
factors. 1: My phenidone was from a 1gm/50ml stock in denatured alcohol. It
took a good while to drive off the smell. 2: the pyro was a little chunky. I

With the Rodinal shortages (everybody seems out and even the Cache R09
is out until December), I'm thinking about giving a Pyro developer a try.
Probably Pyrocat HD.  
I've never used eye protection before for darkroom work.  Obviously the
