E6 Processing29 Nov 2005 15:37 GMT21
I've been toying with the idea of getting into slide film developing
and have been doing some research on the subject. Most notably I've
been looking into mixing my own E6 chemicals and I found this "how to"
guide:
Efke film developing29 Nov 2005 14:54 GMT24
Hi, I've another problem. I have a large amount of EFKE 25 ISO film,
but it is no more possible to find here Rodinal! So I'm looking for
another developer. I've seen it is possible to use D76 for example.
Anyone have experience with it?

Edges browning28 Nov 2005 01:49 GMT11
I've got a framed, matted print (however no glass) in which the edges are
starting to turn brown.  Print has been displayed for about 9 months.  RC
paper...forgot the brand.  Ilford I think.
My guess is that my fixer was bad and that the print is improperly fixed.
Replenishment27 Nov 2005 16:55 GMT1
I am currently using Paterson Universal Blix as my current blix of choice,
as it is dead cheap and available easily in the UK!
However unlike the developer of the same brand, it does not mention that it
is replenishable. Does anybody know if it is or not and any amounts etc.
35mm Plastic Cassettes26 Nov 2005 13:57 GMT18
My local shop no longer sells 35mm plastic cassettes for bulk loading. I
can't stand the metal ones. Who in North America sells online bulk loading
supplies and might carry these. Thx.
Stain from color chemistry26 Nov 2005 07:03 GMT4
I hope there is a solution to my problem. While mixing some color chemistry,
I placed the beaker on my wife's washing machine. I did not notice the ring
stain until later. So far I have been able to dull it but not remove it.
Any suggestion, short of replacing my wife's washing ...
durst m301 color gradient filter help24 Nov 2005 16:25 GMT5
What I am now asking is most likely simple and silly, but it has been
bothering me for quite some time.
My Durst m301 enlarger (black and white, no color head) has in addition to a
typical red filter some sort of a color gradient filter that can be turned
Polyfiber turning blue24 Nov 2005 13:54 GMT5
I did some 4x5 contacts this a.m. with old kodak polyfiber paper.
During drying about half of them turned blue.
Not fixed long enough?

I found a  box of hp5+ sheet film that I bought in 2000 or so, and has
been laying around upstairs, partially used, since 2001. It was dated
2005, but has been sitting in a room that gets pretty warm sometimes in
summer (certainly up to 80F). Am I correct that its probably pretty

This being the most serious group of photographers (picture makers) that
I find on the web I thought some of you might be interested in an

I'm looking to purchase the Schneider Componon 80mm f/5.6, and I'm
wondering if it can be mounted on an enlarger with the standard leica

overdeveloped edges on 120 film21 Nov 2005 14:28 GMT14
I am getting overdeveloped edges on my 120 film. I'm using metal reels
and I've tried rolling the canister and inverting the canister. It has
gotten to the point where I am inverting once every minute and I'm
still getting overdeveloped edges. Does anyone have any suggestions of
