Help with developer and fixer ratios18 Oct 2005 21:29 GMT6
I'm starting a darkroom.  I'm starting with black and white and I'm
confused already.  I bought Dektol developer power.  On the bag it says
mix with 3 liters and add the powder thus making 3.8 liters or one
gallon.  I bought Kodak professional polycontrast III RC paper.  The
Tales from the Darkroom - A Odd Toning Experience18 Oct 2005 16:01 GMT2
I printed a picture this evening, first on MGIV-RC and then on MGIV-FB.  The
following was obtained with each of print.
I decided to tone each print with Kodak Brown Toner and used some from a
container that indicated I made it up in May 2005.  After six or so minutes, I

Neopan SS vs Acros17 Oct 2005 14:05 GMT2
Anyone have any experience with both of the Fuji 100 ISO films?
Apparently Fuji is still making the older SS emulsion. I picked some up
yesterday with dating of 9-2007!
PMK, ISO & ASA17 Oct 2005 00:09 GMT19
First of all, can anyone confirm the tradeoff between ISO and ASA when using
PMK Pyro? The recommended ASA's in the Formulary pamphlet are aprox 20% less
than ISO's.
Secondly, are there any pyro developers that give full film speeds?
FX-37 modification.16 Oct 2005 17:42 GMT6
I don`t know if anybody makes their own FX-37, but they might be interested
to know that Geoffrey Crawley has made a small change to the original
formula.
The only difference between this and the original formula is an increase of
lens adapters16 Oct 2005 01:40 GMT3
Got a question - I've recently bought a camera that supposedly came
with lenses. The camera takes the infamous x-fujinon lenses (which is
why I bought it - I have some of those and another x-fujinon camera -
the one I started with). The lenses, however, aren't x-fujinon and,

very small space for darkroom. too small?12 Oct 2005 19:04 GMT10
my parents have just recently bought a new house. and the room that

very small closet area under the steps. it is maybe 8 feet long to the
bottom of the steps. so i will have maybe 5 feet of usable space. it is
Semi-OT.  24x36 edge-to-edge frames?12 Oct 2005 18:41 GMT9
I have a customer that wants basically a 24x36" clip frame with a glass
front.  I've been unable to find any and perhaps question the safety of
such a frame.  I don't want to use plexi/acrylic because its tacky to
me.
Brownish scum on negatives12 Oct 2005 03:55 GMT8
Since I've started using Efke-25 film developed with TFX-2
I've noticed that sometimes the negatives come out of the wash
with a brownish scum on them. It wipes of easily under running
water as long as the negative doesn't dry. Once it dries I haven't
