Help identifying type of roll film.16 Aug 2005 18:08 GMT9
I purchased a camera at a flea market with film in it and exposed.  I
pulled it out of an Agfa Isolette (c 1950-1960).  The only identifier
(at all) on the film is a sticker that reads:
CAUTION: The film can only be processed on our special equipment for

Agfa Atomal Formula?15 Aug 2005 14:10 GMT17
There is a film developer formula, which appears that it may be the original
Agfa Atomal film developer formula, (Calbe A-49 perhaps?)
I was wondering if someone could translate this into English.

Why Phenidone?  Why Not Metol?13 Aug 2005 05:05 GMT32
I know of only one reason to use phenidone and that is the increase
in film speed it confers. I can't think of any reason to use it
for printing.
What has it got going for it? I've some phenidone but have been
Digital and Wet Darkrooms12 Aug 2005 21:11 GMT8
I've been shooting and printing B&W film/prints since the 1960's.  I
have enjoyed shooting more than being in the darkroom, but I still love
the magic of watching my prints materialize under the safelight.
Now I have many years of both B&W and color to print.  Although I still

Developing Efke film with fx-112 Aug 2005 05:57 GMT12
I've been thinking about getting a box or two of either Efke-25 or J&C-100
to play around with. My thoughts for the developer is fx-1 from photographers
formularly.
Has anyone tried either of the films with FX-1? I'm also wondering how FX-1 would
Rolleimatic enlarger,  I need to find a light proof cap.11 Aug 2005 21:00 GMT9
I have an older Rolleimatic enlarger which is missing the cap for the
side vent.  I need to find a cap and sources seem limited;  any ideas?
I could manufacture one so any Ideas other than duct tape would also be
appreciated.
Permanganate-based b&w reversal simply insn't quality reversal11 Aug 2005 20:07 GMT1
It's more a statement than a question: after two full days of
experimentation, I come to the conclusion that using a
permanganate-based bleach for b&w reversal simply doesn't give a high
quality slide, for what are my quality standards.
