| Holding pattern for selenium toned prints | 31 Aug 2005 01:33 GMT | 4 |
I have not found a discussion of this issue (or non-issue) anywhere: When you are in the process of selenium toning multiple prints, does it matter how you store the prints between the selenium bath and the HCA? I'm assuming that the toning process ends when the print is removed

| Bulb for Osram Duka-50 safelight? | 29 Aug 2005 12:01 GMT | 14 |
I just got one of these lights from that big auction thing... It's quite a nice light, but I can't find any particulars about the bulb anywhere, at least following a bunch of links from Google. The best I get is that it's expensive and hard to

First of all, let me apologize for this off topic post. Could you please direct me to the appropriate newsgroup? I couldn't find one quite right. My question was just this. If a light meter suggests an exposure of 4

| Film Developer | 27 Aug 2005 10:45 GMT | 22 |
How can I know when my film developer has had it? I know many will tell me to mix a new batch every session, but the fact is I can't afford it (even buying bulk chemicals which I have looked into and will probably do in the future).

| Mounting a Dichro DG head to a Beseler CB-7? | 26 Aug 2005 18:49 GMT | 1 |
I got a good deal on a Dichro head. Beseler no longer makes the adapter to mount the head to the CB-7. Of course I've never seen the adapter either. So any hints? From just resting the head on the enlarger it seems all the adapter would do is provide a smaller hole. My first ...

| High Temperature B+W Processing | 26 Aug 2005 14:20 GMT | 5 |
It's currently winter here in Australia, and I'm having no problem maintaining 20C for B&W processing. However we are fast approaching summer, and last summer I had no end of trouble trying to keep temps down that low. With room temperatures in the high 30s and tap water temp in ...

| Temperature and Technique | 26 Aug 2005 06:23 GMT | 7 |
Thank you all for your help on my last question. I've been developing for a couple months now and I have a few questions regarding temperature, if you don't mind. 1) If I develop with the chemicals at 24C instead of 20C, and I make

| About Cold Developer | 25 Aug 2005 20:06 GMT | 40 |
Thanks to those who helped me with this. I now understand why temperature is important. I didn't know that before (or didn't really think about it). To those who have treated me like an idiot, shame on you. I once asked

| PMK afterbath | 24 Aug 2005 22:39 GMT | 9 |
Just curious about the stain induced by the afterbath when using PMK. How much of the stain is created during the afterbath, and, if the recommended 2 minutes is good, why wouldn't 5 or 15 minutes be better? -Lew
