Durst Laborator Electronics Repair?30 Jun 2005 20:29 GMT5
I have a Durst Laborator 184 8x10 enlarger.  I am not sure exactly who
owned it before I did.  It's a somewhat odd unit with a Super Chromega
instead of the Durst head and, it seems, possibly aftermarket powered
focusing.
A print spotting question.30 Jun 2005 14:31 GMT3
I`ve just bought a set of Tetenal Spotpens, I`m sure these are good
products, but I was wondering if other printers find them as good as the
Spotone dyes or other spotting medium.

Well, here is an incongruous question to be
asking in a film darkroom list...

Film and Paper in the Fridge or Freezer?29 Jun 2005 21:55 GMT5
Is there an ideal temperature to store film and paper? (Long-term) I
recently acquired and new "beer" fridge which is going to double as my film
and paper locker. Can sensitised materialials be stored too cold? What
temperature would be not cold enough? I'm thinking of setting the ...
Static and threaded filter28 Jun 2005 18:08 GMT1
I have been having trouble with one specific B+W filter (80c, if that
matters) and static: I cannot keep dust off of this thing and I can
actually feel a small shock if I touch the glass after cleaning it. Is
this a problem that can be solved (an antistatic spray?) or should I
keeping film cool, before and after shooting. and B&W chems kept cool???28 Jun 2005 15:00 GMT4
Hope to hear any advice on keeping film cool in your camera bags, cameras,
vehicles etc in these hot months. Looking for advice on not only with pre-
shot film but also AFTER you shoot it. I know the best case is processing
ASAP but sometimes that can't happen when out in the ...

Dektol brown in color when mixed.23 Jun 2005 19:04 GMT5
Ilford stopped making Bromophen which Ive always used. It mixed up
clear and only turned brown over time as it oxidized.
I've switched to Kodak dektol and the first batch I mixed was dark
brown as soon as I added water to the powder. I was careful with the
Beseler 45 enlarger operation question23 Jun 2005 18:32 GMT2
My Beseler 45 MX-II has a lever on the left side that lowers the negative
stage so a negative holder can be inserted - I believe this is standard as
photos of other 45s I've seen all have this.  When I release the lever after
inserting the neg carrier), I have to push the stage up ...
Life Expectancy of Latent Image on Paper ?23 Jun 2005 00:40 GMT9
All that talk of film, what about paper?
Given it's slow emulsion speed and usual safer
keeping I'd think exposeing today then processing
next year would be plenty soon enough.
Increase contrast21 Jun 2005 17:01 GMT8
Probably a stupid question - I'm fairly new to this whole thing
(although I love it!) - most of my posts on this board are probably
stupid questions...
But I digress. While on a plane flight over heavy cloud I took some
