Durst Lapfe (neg holder) dimensions (or sale or loan)23 May 2005 06:09 GMT1
I have a Durst 138 and the Nega carrier.  But, alas, no Lapfe inserts
for negs smaller than 5x7.
If anybody has one stuffed away in the closet, please let me know.
I'll buy it.

Oriental Warm Tone FB22 May 2005 00:25 GMT3
This Oriental FB warmtone paper is quite interesting.  Compared to Ilford,
Kodak, and Agfa, this paper seems to bring out tons of shadow detail
without effecting midtones or highlights.  Does this make sense?
What's CD-4? C-41 Split Developer21 May 2005 02:31 GMT4
A while back someone (F. Miniter) publish the Dignan NCF-41 split developer
recipe for developing color negative film without having to worry too much
about temperature. What exactly is CD-4 in line three of bath A? Is there
any update to this formula or better methods? Does anyone ...
Xtol underdeveloping TMX21 May 2005 00:14 GMT5
I'm on an 8-month batch of Xtol.  In the last 10 days, I've developed
several rolls of film.  The TriX and Delta rolls came out perfect.
However 3 rolls of TMX came out very very thin (hardly useable at all).
I've followed the recommended times found at www.digitaltruth.com for ...

How much or how little can one agitate and still get acceptable results?
Exhausted Developer18 May 2005 23:57 GMT8
Can anyone offer any suggestions on how I can know if my developer is
exhausted. I've been using the same developer for a while now, it's
taken on a black hue and when I poured it out it came with an inky
black residue.
E6 Bleach-Fix Alternative.18 May 2005 19:13 GMT4
I am looking for a bleach-fix alternative for E6 that is somewhat
commonly available in another name perhaps or something that is close
to a substitute.  I presume this means some for of Formalhyde or
derivative.  I noticed a DIY of which I have almost all the chemicals:

dry mount press17 May 2005 16:32 GMT10
What can I expect to pay for a dry mount press that will support 16x20
prints?  I'm not familiar with the brands.  Would it be just as cost
effective to have them mounted at my local pro-lab?  Thx in advance.
dust gun substitute16 May 2005 18:34 GMT3
I'm going to Iran for a couple of weeks and will shoot 4x5 sheet film.
I don't think I can take compressed air on the airlines now, and don't
know if I'll be able to find any in Tehran.  Any body know of a manual
pump that would work?  I'll have an antistatic brush, but would like ...
Jobo CPE-2 Leaking Processing Chemicals15 May 2005 20:36 GMT7
I bought a used Jobo CPE-2 with a lift a few years ago. Haven't used it the
past year because my "spare" time was spent writing a book. I suspect that
it's leaking chemicals because I get only 80-100 ml out when I put 240 ml in.
Don't think it's the top of the small tank not ...
