Are these pics under/over/poorly exposed?31 May 2005 18:57 GMT19
I'm afraid I don't have the best eye for these sorts of things and I
need advice.
I shot Tri-X 400 spd 400TX kodak, with a "Quantaray" R2 coloured
Filter.
My thermometer is woefully inaccurate; read about the shocking truth!31 May 2005 04:54 GMT15
I was mixing up a batch of KHCA this evening when I was surprised to
find that my thermometer was reading 80 deg. F. for the water running
from my tap. Not only did it feel cooler than that, but it just seems
kind of odd, this time of year, where I live in the Northeast, for tap
Help w/ Infared film problem.31 May 2005 03:02 GMT12
This past weekend I shot a roll of Kodak HIE Infared film. I use a
Nikon F100 w/ a Nikor 50mm 1.4 lens and a 25 red filter, and rated the
film at asa 50. To test my first roll of infared I shot a varaity of

Tasma films?30 May 2005 19:00 GMT4
Anyone tried the Tasma films (from Russia) - they do a 64 ASA and 100
and 125 ASA films?
I wondered if there were any rough developing times out there.
I am thinking of exposing the 64 ASA at 50 and then processing more or
Jobo reel issue--2 rolls 120 on the spool but a problem!!29 May 2005 11:21 GMT1
Alrighty--Using my Jobo 120 spools which accomodates either 2 rolls of 120
or a single 220 I have an issue of a small area of one of the rolls not
being fixed properly. Note this is for B&W film!! I can go back and refix
the one frame or two halves but can I simply avoid this ...
Pink cast on Tri-X?29 May 2005 09:04 GMT11
>From what I've read, the signs of insufficient fixing for TMAX is a
pinkish cast whereas for traditional, non tabular grain films, it would
be a "milky" appearance. This evening I just developed my first roll of
tri-x in a long time. It is from a bulk roll of 100'. I fixed for 5

Hydroquinone stains27 May 2005 23:59 GMT6
yesterday I made some experiment with hydroquinone as paper developer.
The results are interesting - a kind of lith developer, but on few
sheets some brown stains are left. I guess it's someway due to the
exausted hydroquinone.
which 400 speed B & W 35mm Film scans the best ?26 May 2005 22:10 GMT13
I have been using TMY and I have not been satisfied with the results, way
too grainy showing some weird specular highlights in the grain. I know T Max
has a fine grain, but perhaps too fine a grain for scanning ? And that after
is on 2 different scanners, a Microtek 120tf ...

Hi, I recently bought a used Super Chromega D Dichroic II head and
realized that I need to repair or replace the foam that cushions the
head from the negative stage. It's cracking and wearing out in some
places. Does anyone have any ideas about how to repair this. Are such

Does anyone have a comparitive test for 3 vs 6 bath E6 processing.
I've allways used the 3 bath tetenal, and was wondering if the 6 bath kodak has any advantages.
