Automatic Dodging Enlarger23 Mar 2005 14:10 GMT4
Automatic dodging enlarger, I never heard of it before:

Uses a CRT as the lightsource.
How do you focus your enlarger23 Mar 2005 06:20 GMT25
The reason I ask is that I'm having trouble with my grain
focuser. As many people know I use 4x5 and shoot Tmax-100
that I develop with Tmax-rs diluted 1:9 at 75F using my Jobo.
The problem is that when printing at 11x14 or smaller I can't
How do I wash my prints22 Mar 2005 19:03 GMT11
I have been in a class setting and am finally going to set this up at home
in my bathroom. I have all the trays. But to do my first wash out class
just has the prints sitting in water and than they are moved to a bigger
sint that aggitates the prints and then they are dried.
Pushing it with Delta 320022 Mar 2005 18:19 GMT27
I think I have been expecting a bit too much.  The basic plan was to try and
take hand held pictures at a couple of do's and parties without flash.
I decided to put Delta 3200 in my GR1v, rating it at 10000 by setting ISO
5000 and dialing in one stop of exposure compensation.  I ...
K-14 Process- alternatives?22 Mar 2005 18:03 GMT13
I have some Kodachrome KP40 that i've shot and am wondering if there
are alternative processes I can use other than sending it to Kodak for
processing using k-14.  Perhaps E6?
I don't care too much about the pics but would like to at least get a
Green stripe on negative21 Mar 2005 16:35 GMT7
Some days ago I was looking to my negatives and I noticed a very
strange thing had happened: one of them, that I developed more then
one year ago, had a green stripe on his higher border. Now, I keep
asking to myself what could be the cause. Maybe a problem with fixer?

tonal scale, but no real gain in shadow speed."
Bulk Chems Sources20 Mar 2005 17:12 GMT8
Anyone experience buying bulk from JD Photochem (aka Fotochem, I think) in
Quebec, Canada? I would be interested in bulk sources in the US also. Thx.

Help...Developing times Neopan 1600@3200??19 Mar 2005 19:37 GMT30
I have a bunch of films Fuji Neopan 1600 which I rated @3200, I was told at
college today by one of my tutors to use neat developer and develop for 15
mins, the normal time @1600 being 8mins.  I have developed one of these
films using this method intending to get a 'grainy' finish, ...
OT: Odd of me to post this but...what the heck.  Lets get rid of Scarpitti aka Uranium Committee aka who knows what else for good..19 Mar 2005 09:39 GMT7
I killfiled Scapitti and lately unkilled Uranium Committee to see
whether the troll had stopped harassing a multitude of newsgroups
(namely, every single populated photography newsgroup).
Apparently he/she has been harassing newsgroups for about three years.
"Help"19 Mar 2005 07:33 GMT3
I started to setup a darkroom in a building that is in my back yard. A
local studio went out of buiness due to the owners old age and no one to
run it anymore, so I picked up most of the equipment from his wife. In this
sale, I was able to get an old processor which was in good ...
is it a forgone conclusion...18 Mar 2005 05:16 GMT105
that this ng will be irrelevant in a year or so? i certainly hope not, but
film seems to be dieing a slow, painful death.
i'm 43, and it sucks to think that in a decade, or less, that film--as we
knew it--will be gone.
