I was given a can of Kodak Microdol-X, but I dont know if it is still
useable. The CAT#501 0780 is to make 5 Litres of stock solution. On the
bottom of the can reads: 86 02 and below that 3252.
The condition of the can seems to be good, but its the condition of the
Staining metol developer26 Mar 2005 02:56 GMT10
I'm sure I came across an article about a staining metol based developer.
The trick is NOT to bleach out the stain with an acid fix. I've now got my
supply of Formulary TF-4 in, but I've lost track of my reference. Possibly a
gainer article? Can anyone help?
Polish glass carrier?26 Mar 2005 02:52 GMT10
It's come to this. I need to polish an old glass carrier (Leitz Focomat IIa)

spare. I was thinking of using Maguire's fine Plexiglas polish. No?
On negative's enlargement25 Mar 2005 19:46 GMT26
I need to solve I doubt I have from a lot of time. I would like to
know, for example, if I have found the right time of exposition to

time to calculate the right one for a 30x40 cm size. I had read, a few

Recently I have found an interesting title "Historic Photographic
processes" by Richard Farber. The description sounds good, but I would

Summary: When is it digital?25 Mar 2005 07:16 GMT2

Excepting for the quanta of photons, to [dis]please the

What happens when pottasium ferricyanide is applied on selective areas

order to retouch the print.
Generally, we use pottasium ferricyanide on prints that have not been

Paper and Negative Mgt.23 Mar 2005 23:14 GMT28
What are various ways to keep track of your negatives and work?
We all make contact sheets;  I number and date them and keep them separate
from the negatives.  I have a log sheet that I keep with the contact sheet
showing prints I made from them and the exposure information.
