Refrigerator?15 Jan 2005 22:40 GMT1
Well, freezing films can be a solution for long term conservation. And
what about to keep them into refrigerator, i.e. at 4 °C? How many
years can they conserve their own characteristics? I use Delta 100 and

HC-110 Concentrate Self LIfe15 Jan 2005 18:22 GMT10
Last May I bought a large bottle of HC 100 concentrate (a 28 oz / 828 ml
bottle, to be precise.) I use it mostly with 120 film, mostly in dilution H,
and I am just now getting down to the last of the concentrate (I mix up a
working solution as needed for each roll.)
Developing paper - always for a fixed time or not?14 Jan 2005 22:24 GMT18
OK, asked this in some thread but probably was way too off-topic here.
Basically - do you develop your papers always for a fixed time or not?
If fixed - what time do you use? I find Ilford's paper documentation a bit
confusing on this - in the same datasheet (for MG IV RC) they ...
Recalibrating film to scan?13 Jan 2005 14:18 GMT15
Hello all again,
I figured this was still apropriate to post to R.P.Darkroom as it is
about processing film. I am already familiar with the calibration of
film development specifically for printing using the Zone System. I
Freezing films13 Jan 2005 12:23 GMT2
Hi, I've never tried to conserve films in freezer. I have some b/w
films, both 35 mm and 120, with few Kodak HIE IR  too.
Are there special expedients to obtain the best conservation possible?
How long can they stay in freezer without damage? ANd how many years
developing paper in tubes ??12 Jan 2005 22:40 GMT16
I think that the answer to this question is "Yes", but........maybe
someone can confirm that they have actually done this. I have 4"x5" B&W
negatives. I have been learning about enlarging for a month or so now,
and am at the point where my printing results while nowhere near
Fibre &^#*%^$*!!!!12 Jan 2005 20:20 GMT26
I wonder if maybe some of the grizzled old vets of the darkroom could
chew the rag a bit regarding the differences between RC and Fibre paper.
I have this negative :

Printing sharp grain negs?12 Jan 2005 15:08 GMT2
So lately I've been developing some tri-x and HP5 in Agfa Rodinal.
I really like this developer and its ability to be mixed for various
contrast
preferences. The grain is "sharp" and heres a sample:
Kodak TechPan - not difficult!11 Jan 2005 23:24 GMT10
Greetings;
I've just developed the last of the monochrome films from a recent
vacation in Wengen, Switzerland - some of these were Ilford FP4+ and
HP5+, a couple of Ilford SFX-200 (for the red sensitivity) and three
Omega DII  Lens/Condenser help 11 Jan 2005 12:21 GMT4
I am using a Compon-S 80mm on the flat lens board and the 3 1/2" condenser.
I have to raise the lens approx. 36'' above the base board to get nearly the
entire neg. in a 8x10 frame. As you can imagine the neg. suffers with that
much enlargement, etc. I have the manual and it says ...
Want suggestions for covering several large windows10 Jan 2005 22:13 GMT6
I've unexpectedly acquired an apartment to become a "wet" darkroom and want
suggestions, articles, or urls.  While its not my first darkroom new
materials and ideas are out there.  TIA
Light Spot On B&W Paper - Enlarger? Fix? Bulb?10 Jan 2005 18:13 GMT13
Yesterday, while printing, I noticed a diffuse light spot about 1-2" in
diameter on some of my 5X7 prints, almost as if I'd dodged. I checked the
neg it's clean. I scanned the neg to look at it -- it's clean. I tried
printing other negs -- same spot. So I immediately started to look ...
Yankee sheet film developing Tank09 Jan 2005 01:42 GMT14
I have been using the tray method for developing 4 X 5 Sheet film.  I
am not real happy about spending all that time in the closet
developing 1 or 2 sheets at a time.  Has anyone used the Yankee sheet
film developing tank ?  It does 6 negatives at a time and once the
FOMA films09 Jan 2005 01:38 GMT11
Hi, I've seen that it is now available by my favourite seller FOMA
film, 100 and 400 ISO. I've red they are czeck products and I'm
interesting on them expecially 100 ISO. What can be said on these
products compared with Delta and Pan F+?
Ilfochrome-A filters with Ilford Multigrade paper?06 Jan 2005 06:17 GMT4
I have been using Ilford Multigrade Warmtone for some time now.
Since it will be a few months before I can find someone to carry (from
the US) the designated Ilford filters for contrast control, I am forced
to use Ilfochrome-A filters for adjusting the contrast.
