just in case... Iford...09 Dec 2004 03:58 GMT27
for some stage shots during jazz & blues concerts I use Fuji Neopan 1600
(35mm) developped in Ilford DD-X, with results that please me. Although with
some loss of shadow detail (shooting @ IE1600), but with nice contrasts
(slightly extended dev.times) and grain to my taste.
Konica 750 and development.08 Dec 2004 23:05 GMT4
I've been developing Konica 750  for a few years now and have been
rating it whatever I want and I remember reading somewhere thats its a
very slow film; I believe an EI of 32.   So I'm wondering if anyone
has shot this at 32 and if so what sort of times and developers
Omega D2 vs. D5 question08 Dec 2004 22:22 GMT4
Is it worth replacing a used but working fine D2 with a used D5?
What happened to the price of 35mm bulk TMAX?08 Dec 2004 16:43 GMT8
Back in August I bought a 100' bulk roll of TMY 35mm for $22.50 from
Adorama. Today I find that the price on both Adorama and B&H is
$39.95. While this still represents a substantial savings over buying
rolls (I figure about 18 rolls of 36 exp. from 100', which would cost

I am about to begin E6 processing using a second hand Jobo ATL-1000,
can anyone offer me advice on which chemistry is best suited to this

Ilford Universal vs Multigrade08 Dec 2004 02:00 GMT1
I've been using Ilford Multigrade paper developer for quite a while.  Given
the apparent scarcity of Ilford products, our local store still has
Universal developer in stock but not Multi.  Can anyone help me with the
true difference between these products?  As far as I can see, ...
Kodak Wratten Gelatin filter no.12 ??????07 Dec 2004 17:36 GMT32
I am a medical doctor looking to purchase a Kodak Wratten Gelatin
filter Number 12 for use in assessment of patients with dry eye using
fluorescein tear staining.
I have looked in a number of local photography shops, on ebay, the
Zonal Pro HQ Warmtone with Agfa Classic07 Dec 2004 03:23 GMT1
By adding Zonal Pro HQ Warmtone to my Bromophen/glycin I can get the
green out of Agfa Multicontrast Classic. Without it, no amount of
selenium tone will rid me of this green cast. It will split-tone
weirdly, before a good color results. For some reason, the Zonal-Pro,
A note about Propylene Glycol07 Dec 2004 02:09 GMT9
I recently purchased some "environmentally-friendly" propylene glycol
anti-freeze at my local auto parts store to use as a developer
preservative.  I happened to buy the last gallon in stock ($10 per
gallon compared with about $9.00 plus shipping from the Internet
Any users of Phototherm Side Kick processor?06 Dec 2004 20:35 GMT1

The end of an era...06 Dec 2004 14:41 GMT6
I stopped by one of the local camera places and bought
their last two rolls of 120 Technical Pan yesterday.
They won't be getting any more. Nobody will. It really
is the end of an era; Technical Pan was unique.
Negative curl...  widthwise not lengthwise...06 Dec 2004 05:00 GMT8
My negatives seem to have quite a curl to them after drying.  I'm
wondering if this is normal?  or if there is something I'm doing wrong.
The curl is not lengthwise like I would have somewhat expected because
the films has spent so long rolled up.  It is curled widthwise. ??
Mounting Enlarger Lens - Omega D206 Dec 2004 03:15 GMT7
I just purchased a used Omega D2 enlarger and separately a Vivitar VHE
135 mm lens.  The spare lens disc that came with the enlarger appears
to have a mounting hole that is about 1-2 mm too small for the lens.
I've called a few machine shops without success.
Selenium toning RC paper05 Dec 2004 16:35 GMT12
Does it do anything?
Last time I tried I use a fairly strong solution, maybe 1:4 and it seemed
to do nothing.
Will anything happen if I leave it a long time or should I just go for FB
