Adding Jobo water heater to Jobo processor15 Dec 2004 10:16 GMT1
Their water heater is rather precisely configured and very expensive.  Has
anyone added one to an ATL?
Ilford HP5 Developing15 Dec 2004 00:23 GMT4
I've done E-6 processing and have a roll of this Ilford B&W HP5 film.
I never did B&W before ;)
I figure its  straight forward. What Chemicals and whos should I use.
I am eyeing...
Re: D2 vs D5 question14 Dec 2004 22:52 GMT1
Thank you all for your inputs - I will consider them in my final decision. I have purchased the D5XL (the price was too good to pass).
How easy is it to "wall mount?" Where would I get the hardware? If I sell the D2 I'm thinking of breaking it up and selling individual parts liek ...
Shelf life of E6 chemicals14 Dec 2004 19:46 GMT27
I have some Kodak E6 that was opened in April and assume this will still be
serviceable.
However, I found a  6-bath Tetenal kit that I bought last year that I forgot
about and has not been opened. If sealed, what might I realistically expect
European paper sizes14 Dec 2004 16:08 GMT2
Anybody out there know where in the U.S. it is possible to buy printing
paper (Agfa or Forte or Ilford) in the European 24X30cm (91/2 X 12")
size?  I grew to love that size while living in Europe and am finding
the American sizes "wrong" somehow.
preflashing tools?14 Dec 2004 13:15 GMT23
I've heard that you can use a piece of diffused plastic for pre-flash under
the enlarging lens...

Need gift for owner of Printmaker 67!13 Dec 2004 17:32 GMT12
No, please don't tell me "another enlarger"....
I can't spend much more than $100 or so....
I'm thinking about an El Nikkor 2.5 50mm....?  Would this be a
significant upgrade over the stock Beseler?  Will it work with the
MFA?13 Dec 2004 15:59 GMT108
There is one poster here who has an MFA. He includes it (proudly!) on every post.
He obviously knows nothing about logic, optics, physics, or chemistry.
Whatever school awarded him this 'degree' ought to be shut down for incompetence.
Holga Enlarger any opinions?13 Dec 2004 14:25 GMT3
Has anyone used the Holga enlarger? If so what do you think?
I was thinking of getting one.
Thanks
Anyone used the Dauxlite II burning in tool (tone painter)?13 Dec 2004 14:22 GMT3
The manufacturer's website posts several positive user comments. Does
anyone here have personal experience. At $179.00  I wonder if it's
worth the price and if I would use it enough to justify the cost.

Kodak SO-366 Slide Duplicating Film.13 Dec 2004 14:13 GMT4
Anyone ever use this stuff back in the day?  I just got a ton of rolls
and want to play with it.  Can anyone bring me up to speed on this
film?  I've Googled but haven't found much.  I'm primarily curious as
to whats ON/IN it- such as the gooey remjet on the K-14 KP40.
Does mixing your own chemicals save money?11 Dec 2004 23:11 GMT74
I have been doing a lot of shooting and printing lately and am
bewildered at how quickly I am going through chemicals (yes I use my
fixer and stop by to exhaustion but insist on using developer on a
one-shot basis). Previous discussions on the archive have focused on
Light source for Pyro negs10 Dec 2004 19:33 GMT84
I'm not yet experienced with Pyro development, but I'm considering to give
it a try.  My questions concern the enlarger lamp for pringing pyro
negatives.  I read frequently that a cold light head is best for pyro
negatives (presumably due to the yellowish stain on the neg), but I ...
