Mostly OT: Really good gloves for shooting in very cold temps.25 Dec 2004 16:07 GMT21
as you can see I am good at off-topic postings sometimes.  But you guys
are the bestest everest to me so ...
I'm looking for some "serious" shooting gloves that can at *least*

OT "Patents"23 Dec 2004 00:25 GMT15
Can one patent an idea without having a prototype
or a specific method for producing the idea as
a manifest item. I have a great idea probably worth
millions but I don't know electronics or phone
FX-39 too strong22 Dec 2004 14:46 GMT5
I find times with Paterson FX-39 too short for Pan-F, Neopan 1600, and
Delta 100. I wanted to see whether I could add a bit of boric acid to
slow down the developing action without diluting so much. For instance,
Delta 100 in FX-39 diluted 1+19 is too contrasty even at 7.5 minutes. ...
How to develop over-exposed film22 Dec 2004 02:03 GMT57
You must over-develop it. The common approach of reducing development
of over-exposed film leaves you with very low contrast and a
poor-looking print. By over-developing it, you get some contrast back.
True, the neg will be very dense, but the prints will have better
Famous People "OT"20 Dec 2004 04:33 GMT4
Just to share a bit, over the weekend I shot two weddings
one Saturday and another Sunday, the one Saturday was a very nice
golf club on the outskirts of Baltimore. What blew me away was when
I spotted "her" come into the church and sit dow, I recognized her right

Negative Wallets16 Dec 2004 19:13 GMT3
Anyone know of a source for negative wallets for 12/220 negatives instead of
the flat ones which go in a ring binder?
My local supplier no longer sells the flat type which fold up into the
height of the negative.
Ektachrome color shift?15 Dec 2004 21:52 GMT10
I have a few hundred slides that were exposed and processed in the
late 1950's and early 1960's.  The slides are both Kodachrome and
Ektachrome.  I have noticed a distinct difference between them.
The Kodachrome slides appear very good in their color balance - many
PC-TEA Data15 Dec 2004 20:34 GMT1
I've recently mixed up a batch of Patrick's PC-TEA.  An initial couple
of rolls gave me denser than expected negatives.  I'll eventually get
