Programming colour analyzer for different films. Why?11 May 2004 19:05 GMT4
This maybe a simple question with an obvious answer but here goes.
I understand why you need  to program for different papers/chemicals but why
for different films? If  the analzyer knows that so much light of a certain
type turns the paper grey [or whatever it's programmed for] ...
Request help identifying equipment11 May 2004 05:43 GMT1
I was wondering if someone could help me out with the identification of some
equipment.
I have two green boxes, each with filters and hoses and a power socket.
The following buzz words appear on the product(s):
Effect of using ID-11 dillutions from stock11 May 2004 05:42 GMT5
I am in the process of setting up a darkroom at home to continue a hobby
I stopped ten years ago. The last film I developed was using ILFOSOL S,
because it was what we used a university. I have been looking into using
ID-11 but have no experience of using replenisher, so using a ...
From selenium to fixer.  Oops!11 May 2004 05:23 GMT13
While removing a print from the selenium 1:9 tray, I accidently dropped the
print in the fixer tray.
No staining occurred and I quickly rinsed the print with water.
Did I affect the archival qualities of the paper, and should I toss the
Spots on negatives10 May 2004 23:51 GMT2
I have noticed that I have been getting tiny spots on my negatives.  They
can be cleaned but not very easily.  What am I doing wrong?  I use a very
diluted amount of Photoflo after the wash.

error in film developing?10 May 2004 07:59 GMT3
I had to develop a delta 3200 120 film but I had not enough Microphen
stock solution. So I had developed the film in Microphen 1+1 to raise
enough liquid for my tank.
And I had to *guess* the developing times, because in Ilford sheets

medium format due to pyro.
What the heck is pyro and what does it do?
Is it dangerous/toxic? it sounds both!
Prints from slides09 May 2004 10:16 GMT16
I have a lot of old slides, mostly family snapshots, which I would like to make
into color prints (3x5,4x6).to place in albums.  I have had some done by local
camera shops with pretty good results, but I would like to try it myself if
possible.

OT "Who Nose" ?08 May 2004 20:10 GMT1
In the midst of a recent illness I happened upon one of those truely brilliant
insights; mucous, the body surely makes alot of it. One thought lead to another
and low and behold here I am pondering and posting the issues of where does it
all go to and of course what if you could ...
Use for old paper?08 May 2004 14:31 GMT6
I've been given old Kodak Polymax FB and RC paper. It's really too
old. Even with Potassiumbromide and Benzotriazol the prints remain
grey and mottled. So, I will dump it. But I wonder if anybody knows of
alternative uses for old photo paper. Creative ideas anyone?
