| brown textured borders | 31 May 2004 22:57 GMT | 3 |
Last night, I created 2 prints carefully, but I noticed today that both prints have problems with the highlights. Upon closer inspection, the white borders even have an uneven brownish texture to them (like dirt or something).

| Durst Laborator | 31 May 2004 21:11 GMT | 11 |
I have recently purchased a durst laborator 1200 for a very reasonable price. It came with the works. I am very exited. I checked the alignment with the verselab laser aligner tool and it was perfect side to side and needed adjustment for vertically. I have mostly figured out all ...

| Comparison of developer components | 30 May 2004 22:18 GMT | 2 |
I just started putting together a darkroom and was reading the Darkroom Cookbook last night to familiarize myself with paper develper chemistry. When I started to compare similar formulas, it occurred to me that it would be handy to index formulas by their components so

| Print stain from glass washing spray | 30 May 2004 16:44 GMT | 7 |
Recently I've noticed a slight yellow stain on FB prints (untoned) mounted in frame under a glass. I know that the glass was washed with glass washer with ammonia. Could this cause a yellow stain on the paper? J. Lapinski

| print retouching | 30 May 2004 04:57 GMT | 11 |
This question is for film printers, not digital. When spotting prints, how do you remove the black marks on a print?

| Filter glass for Janpol enlarging lens? | 29 May 2004 23:33 GMT | 7 |
I've recently acquired a Janpol 103 mm f/5.6 enlarging lens, the type with the color correction filters built into the lens. It's in excellent condition aside from someone having trimmed the top flange (which won't cause me any trouble). It needs the filter position on one

| Leitz Focomat V35 | 29 May 2004 20:23 GMT | 2 |
Purchased on ebay a couple of months ago with its focotar 40. I need something little, less cumbersome than my chromega s.dichro 5X7 to print from 24*36 on format up to 20*24. Focomat V35 is a wonderful machine, fast, quiet and with a strange, beautiful Star Wars Tetrapod look.

I am building a darkroom after finally moving to a house large enough to hold one and would appreciate any links to some good pictures of plumbing panels to go above the sink. I want to keep the plumbing seperate from the sink for ease of construction and so I can set a

| Multigrade IV without filter | 29 May 2004 13:13 GMT | 3 |
Recently I was distracted during a printing session and forgot to use a filter when I exposed the paper. Not realizing what I had done I contiuned and printed the print as if I had used a filter. My results are fine, appear to be midrange, but what is the theoretical grade of my ...

| bottles to use for C-41? | 29 May 2004 12:43 GMT | 2 |
Does it matter? I'm going to use the developer one shot. I'm leaning towards using the stop one shot. That leaves fix and bleach. It seems the bleach likes oxygen. So does that mean plastic bottles are okay? How about the fixer?

| Film Pre-Exposure? | 28 May 2004 20:52 GMT | 39 |
Is anybody using pre-exposure when takeing pictures? I know it requires multiple exposure capability but can be done, at least for one frame, in advance of the actual picture takeing. I've been lazy up till now but think the added shadow density and
