Bellows question10 Mar 2004 16:49 GMT4
Another question for the experienced readers of this newsgroup:
What is the effect of small light leaks in the bellows of an enlarger?  I
can understand the effect a hole, however small, would have on a view
camera's photographic integrity, but I can't quite extrapolate that to the
Dust in enlarger/darkroom-collection/prevention ??10 Mar 2004 09:41 GMT9
Any hints on how to collect and/or prevent dust with the darkroom and the

I have heard hanging new black garbage bags - naturally negatively charged

Kodak verichrome How old could it be?10 Mar 2004 01:16 GMT7
With the Kodak 1a I picked up the seller was kind enough to throw
in some spare spools and a roll of exposed Kodak verichrome. My
understanding is  Kodak stopped making 116 early 1980s. I assume that sets
low end for this film. How old could it be?

Sludge in Paper Developer09 Mar 2004 22:54 GMT8
I mixed a package of Orwo paper developer a couple of week ago and
used it with success. Today, I tried it again, but while pouring it
out, I noticed a light gray sludge. On closer inspection, it looks
like shiny metal particles. What could this be, and can I still use
Fujinon EP  50mm - question09 Mar 2004 22:35 GMT1
I bought a cople of these lenses on Ebay, and it the image on the

Is this a feature of this lens? Are there other enlarger lenses also

questions about it as I have only work few times with EFKE FR16 (concentrate
developer 1:19) until now.
Film to develop is: B&W 35 mm, mostly EFKE KB (25, 50, 100, 400).

Seal 120 Press Manual09 Mar 2004 21:35 GMT4
I just picked up a Seal 120 press and have several questions.
First, does anyone know the URL for Seal?  I found www.forframersonly.com
but that has nothing about presses.  Only adhesives.  I would like to
replace the pad although I could probably just reverse it and lay down new
Anyone deal with "The Econo zone"? -not avdertisement09 Mar 2004 13:59 GMT2
Does anyone ever buy from "The Econo Zone"?

I'm just curious at this time and wondering if they always take 6 weeks to
fill an order even after they charge my card.  My calls and e-mails get
Step Tablet Pedometer09 Mar 2004 09:46 GMT3
I've been testing print developers using a step tablet. Two questions:
Where should I start counting? and at the end points of density how
much of an edge or step is needed to count as such? I'm reluctant
to count barely discernible edges or steps. I wish to be a good
