| Pointers about disposal of chems into septic system (or not at all)? | 14 Mar 2004 05:25 GMT | 15 |
I'm not talking huge quantities- maybe 10 rolls/week. I have the option of storing dead chems and taking them about 50 miles every 6 months (or however long it takes) and paying a fee to dispose of them.

Sink's built. I'm about to line it with fiberglass cloth and two-part epoxy resin. I built the box with 3/4" G1S Fir plywood. (an 8' X 28" sink in case you're wondering, as per "Building Your Darkroom" Lista Duren & Will McDonald, 1990). Duren's book doesn't have any info on using ...

| E6 Chemicals and Septic Systems... | 13 Mar 2004 13:23 GMT | 18 |
I've gotten mixed information regarding E6 chemistry and it's reaction in a septic system. Some say it's harmful, some say that in small batch amounts it's not a problem. Does anyone know if anything has been written about this? I'm running an ATL2000 with about 1-2 litres of ...

| Does it matter what colour I paint my darkroom? | 11 Mar 2004 23:42 GMT | 23 |
Seriously. Any thoughts on this. So far it's different shades of gray. I know Ctein drapes his in black plastic claiming it sucks up the dust. Thx.

| Qx2 about Beseler 23s | 11 Mar 2004 06:15 GMT | 4 |
Do the Beseler enlargers leave enough space to print a black border around a 6x9 negative? And is there an aftermarket antinewton glass negative carrier for them? I think I'd prefer these to the negaflat system. Thanks~!

| Cross processing E-6 to C-41? | 10 Mar 2004 22:33 GMT | 2 |
I've got some rolls of out of date slide film that I'd like to try cross processing. If I understand right over expose by two stops. The question is the printing. Do I just go for pleasing colour? The negatives won't have the orange mask. How much of an issue will that be?

| A Simple Suggestion for Posting Replies | 10 Mar 2004 21:57 GMT | 31 |
Some of the better postings in this and other newsgroups can result in rather long threads of replies. The recent posting on "Photo chemicals and Alzheimer's dementia" is one example of what became a somewhat long thread. As the replies grow in length, it becomes tedious to scroll ...

| In-minilab cropping? | 10 Mar 2004 18:20 GMT | 6 |
I shoot parties with a couple of rangefinders. I like rangefinders because of their fast accurate focus and high speed flash sync. But I've found that my composition suffers from parallax. I was wondering if there was a minilab machine out there where you could crop the image
