What are the differences with agfa apx 400?
I've seen that development times are longer.
Thanks

plastic part that clamps a blade to the frame.

Will we always be able to buy film?28 Jan 2004 17:12 GMT31
Some of this may be old news to some of you, but I just found this
story about Kodak reducing manufacturing capacity and laying of 15,000
employees: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/techinvestor/techcorporatenews/2004-01-22-kodak-cut
s_x.htm

The story poses some interesting questioins ...
Roll paper? Is it a crazy idea?28 Jan 2004 13:08 GMT21
Do any non-pros buy roll paper? I'm basically thinking of it for
making square prints and other harder to find sizes. Other then the space a
roll takes up in the freezer what are the down sides?

Forte Paper Toe Length???28 Jan 2004 10:00 GMT7
Could someone tell me whether the Forte Polygrade V RC and FB papers,
which reportedly use the same emulsion, are considered to be short,
medium, or long toe?
Their web site does have the characteristic curves, but the plots are
nose/eye - Passed Out, Part Two27 Jan 2004 21:15 GMT31
The last post to the nose/eye fumes thread reminded me of a thread
started some 16 months ago titled "Passed Out" All those interested
should read that thread. Search this NG for, passed out .
Of course some who participate in this NG know how rediculous and
Flat black spiff-up27 Jan 2004 17:23 GMT8
I'd like to re-paint the shiny areas of my old Beseler negative carriers.
What kind of paint should I use? The water base, oil base, and/or enamel
flat blacks available in my hardware store all seem to be too glossy.

Need dry mount press recommendation27 Jan 2004 03:35 GMT6
I need a recommendation as to what I should look for in a dry mount press -
mostly 5x7 to 11x14 prints - little exerience in this area but I'd like to do
ebay rather than new.  What should I watch out for.

Road ruts with Jobo27 Jan 2004 00:08 GMT69
I'm using a Jobo cpp-2 processor I am getting an uneveness in
development which jobo refers to as "road ruts"  that is a linear uneveness
that runs the long length of the film, in the direction of the rotation.
It's dense on the edge, then lighter 1/3 of the way in, then denser, ...
the effects of aging on developers27 Jan 2004 00:01 GMT7
This question may be a bit of a handful. My question concerns developers and
what are the effects on the print or film as the developing agents age. I
know most, or I should say those that I use (powdered mix D-76 and Dektol
and Selectol), say a shelf life of 2 months in a ...
nose/eye fume irritation and cheap ventilation26 Jan 2004 22:34 GMT19
I started my B&W darkroom in a basement utility room, measuring about 25x10
feet, with no ventilation.  Its cool and I figured with the size of the
room, it would be ok....also the room is drafty.  Plus I'm an idiot, low on
cash, and was too eager to start making prints before ...
Adjust B&W paper development time when using Uniroller?26 Jan 2004 22:05 GMT14
For the first time this evening I developed a B&W print in my
Uniroller drum on a motorized Uniroller base. I am using Ilford
Multigrade IV RC "Deluxe" with Ilford Multigrade developer. Having
never used a Uniroller before (and being unable to find directions for
High-key portrait26 Jan 2004 11:43 GMT4
How do I get that High-key portrait look with B&W film?  I have a white wall
and no studio lighting.  However I have a strobe and a few $2 light fixtures
from the local hardware store.
Do I extend development to intentionally blow the highlights?
Phototherm constant Temperature Bath25 Jan 2004 22:37 GMT1
I have a model 14 temperature bath. The problem is the red light doesn't come on and the unit is properly grounded. Is there a problem with the unit? I tried it last week in preparation to develop C-41 type film. I wonder the unit should be repaired?
