Color Conversion Filter Question04 Dec 2003 03:33 GMT2
I'm using an Illumitran copier to copy many of my old slides onto
Kodak's Portra 100T print film, using an 85B filter. I've gotten very
good results, good contrast and saturated color as far as my aging eyes
can see, I'm not a pro, just an amateur photographer. I seem to see a

How good is this enlarger?
Thanks,

Ansel Adams02 Dec 2003 23:56 GMT2
Anyone ever wonder how Mr. Adams disposed of his chemicals? I have a
place near there and I'd like to have a darkroom but considering I
also have a septic tank and I also don't want the stuff in my soil
what alternative do I have? I've read the FAQ where they suggest the

analyser pro02 Dec 2003 21:28 GMT10
I use recently an Analyser Pro (Rh Design).
And the first impressions are promissing.
Who's using it too?
Who knows about a user's platform on the www?
Feedback requested - quick and dirty film test 400TMAX02 Dec 2003 16:01 GMT1
I recently did a quick and dirty film test with a new 4x5 camera I
received, and 400TMAX film in HC-110 developer.  Admittedly the
test is not super precise, but I would appreciate any comments, posted
here, which might relate to anything in the article, particularly, as

I need the chain that drives the rollers for this dryer. It's plastic,
probably British. Anyone can help?

Sodium lamp question02 Dec 2003 05:07 GMT1
Has anyone used a 30 watt sodium lamp with OC filters as a darkroom
safelight.  The lamp is the same type as found in the Thomas
Safelight, only five watts more.
I can get one locally  with ballist in a fixture for less than $75.00
Enlarging lens question02 Dec 2003 01:52 GMT22
I am setting up a Beseler 23CII.  What focal length enlarging lens
would be optimal for the 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Roll film format?
Will the 23CII vignette with this format?
I hope to do reprints of older negatives.
How to use dry mount press01 Dec 2003 14:27 GMT15
Is there any site explaining in detail how to use a dry mount press for
mounting fibre prints? I'd like to know what kind of materials I need
and how to actually do the mounting. I want to get rid of VERY curled
prints that result from too fast drying (I can't make it longer...).
B&W from C-41 and/or Panalure01 Dec 2003 00:01 GMT11
I am just getting back into photography after 35 years.  If I understand it
correctly, color film is based on dyes, which should produce better images
than individual grains of silver.  And Panalure is used to print black and
white from color film.
