| M-Componon 80mm lens | 30 Nov 2003 08:59 GMT | 2 |
I bought a copy camera, for almost nothing, just to get access to three G-Claron lenses and one M-Componon 80mm lens. I have information about the G-Clarons, but can't find information on Schneider web site about the M-Componon. Is an M-Componon 80mm a lens I can use as enlarging ...

| Dilutions (volumetrics, exhaustion issues) | 29 Nov 2003 23:16 GMT | 3 |
I've had terrific luck using 'stand' processing with two 120 rolls per can. I suspect the process works to exhaustion of the developer. Dunno for sure. It pours out jet-black. I don't assume everything is intuitive, so enlighten me. If I use a 4-roll can, can I presume the same ...

My wife has finally evicted my enlarging/printing from the bathroom to the cold basement. I can stay warm there by using a portable kerosene heater but how do I keep the chemicals at the recommended temperature? The basement stays at about 55F so everything there eventually get to

| Info on sodium sulfite and possible substitutions | 27 Nov 2003 12:17 GMT | 56 |
I'm having a hard time finding sources for reasonably-priced stock of sodium sulfite (chemical reagent grade is way too much expensive, going about $ 25 for 1kg). I want to home-brew some hca so I 've a 1kg sodium metabisulphite handy.

| Manual for Seal 160M Dry Mount Press? | 27 Nov 2003 02:15 GMT | 13 |
Does anyone have an instruction manual for a Seal 160M dry mount press, or know where/how I can get one? I recently bought a used one, and while I realize it is not a complicated piece of equipment, it would be nice to have a manual. Electronic version would be best, but good ol' ...

| Your favorite 8x10 film/developer combination | 27 Nov 2003 00:05 GMT | 5 |
Since I'm new to 8x10 my film is current some thrift-shop-purchased TMax 100 which I'm developing in HC-110(b). Results are pretty nice though TMax is far from my favorite film. Never really like it overall. What are my other b&w 8x10 options and the results you've gotten from ...

| DX-Coded Labels | 26 Nov 2003 18:41 GMT | 2 |
I am interested in loading my own film cartridges. I have run into one question I have not yet been able to find an answer for: how do you print a DX-Code barcode for your film (in my case NPS mainly)? I prefer my film to be preset to whatever it is, and not need to alter the ...

| Graded Fiber Base Enlarger Paper, A History | 25 Nov 2003 15:12 GMT | 1 |
As far as I can tell there are NO graded FB projection speed papers produced in the United States. That is to say, there is no longer any domestic source of FB graded projection speed print paper.

| I got an enlarger | 25 Nov 2003 12:58 GMT | 13 |
A teammate of mine, lent me a Saunder LPL with Nikkor lens. Works very well (great price too). I'm making 5x7 or so prints and I have to set it to F16 to get times of 10-15 seconds. I am using Ilford Multigrade IV RC paper. Is this normal? A friend of mine
