| Kaiser Diacut 1 usage | 07 Oct 2003 02:59 GMT | 5 |
Have recently acquired one of these slide viewers and cutters. Over the years I've tried various film cutters with poor cutting edges leading to ragged results, but the Kaiser cuts film cleanly and without fuss. (Being second-hand there were no instructions.)

| Red Safety Filter? | 07 Oct 2003 01:28 GMT | 6 |
I had my first experience in the darkroom the other day, and although the results were not that great, it was exciting and interesting and got me hook up. But before I continue, I have question: The enlarger I bought (Printmaker 67) contained a Red Safety Filter that

| RPS journal | 06 Oct 2003 20:18 GMT | 3 |
Is it me, or is the monochrome work represented in the RPS journal taking a turn for the worse? Maybe I'm getting twitchy, but every reproduction looks like it has a bad case of the inkjet blues (greens, cyans, etc, depending upon density) and the subject matter is getting really ...

| Kodak and their attitude | 06 Oct 2003 13:08 GMT | 23 |
I wrote this a couple of years ago when K25 was dicontinued: When I called the professional division (800 242-2424 ext 19) to complain about the discontinuation of K25, I was told "I can't help you".

| Air bubbles (bells) | 06 Oct 2003 10:41 GMT | 2 |
I guess my question was misleading. The white spots appear on the print not the negative. So I think that they are bubbles or is it bells? My concern is that can I cause problems by hitting the tank on a hard surface to often or to hard or to much?

| Do you use Fuji Crystal Archive | 05 Oct 2003 23:47 GMT | 6 |
I've heard this is one of the better archival color neg papers - I'm thinking of using it as the negative in a pinhole camera in Antarctica - the most important question I have "is there a watermark on the paper?" If there's a watermark, I can't use it as I will be contact printing ...

| Question about Fuji minilab prints | 05 Oct 2003 17:34 GMT | 26 |
For years, I've been getting my 35mm color prints processed at "the drugstore". The chain I currently use, like most others, uses Fuji equipment. They just upgraded their lab equipment, and the results I've been getting are even better than before.

| 616 Archival Sleeves | 04 Oct 2003 22:28 GMT | 6 |
I'm actually a negative collector, not a shooter. I have a large number of 616 negatives for which I'm seeking a storage solution. I have some poly negative sleeves for this size, but they're no longer manufactured. I've search the web and talked with several of the major

| blotter rolls | 04 Oct 2003 10:33 GMT | 16 |
I recently purchased a 20+ year-old darkroom setup. Included are 3 blotter rolls that have never been used. How do I use these? Unroll a portion, stick a fiber print in, and put a weight on top? Do I cut off portions after being used a few times?

| Dichros not necessarily diffusion | 04 Oct 2003 09:43 GMT | 8 |
I use a Beseler 23CII with the DGA Dichro head. It is currently fitted with the Beseler Conic Light Integrator and the condensers (instead of the diffuser which I also have). MS claims that my light source is too small to achieve the effect
