Lauder Chemical Problems?17 Oct 2003 13:14 GMT1
The last few months I have been noticing more problems with the film
fixer/hardener from Lauder Chemicals.  A week or so after opening the
bottle, the fixer either becomes very cloudy or small particles are
seen floating about.   Also had problems with two recent bottles of

Potassium Ferrocynanide and fixers16 Oct 2003 23:10 GMT3
I thought I read somewhere that when using potassium ferricyanide, one
should only use plain fixer without hardener. However, in my current
research, I can't find any indication of such. Can anyone tell me if there
are any problems with working with fixers containing hardeners, for ...
re Sekonic L-51816 Oct 2003 22:40 GMT1
Can anyone out there help? I'm trying to find information about the
Digipro L-518, specifically how to adjust the ISO setting. Sekonic's help
only extends to the USA, which isn't much help to anyone "down under".

How good are the Beseler PM2L color analyzers that I often see on ebay. Are
these units very old and therefore maybe unreliable?

Is there something to it?
Uneven PMK 120 negs in JOBO ATL 150015 Oct 2003 23:43 GMT1
I've been happily developing my 4X5 negs in a JOBO ATL 1500, using the
2500 series tank, which holds up to 12 at a time.  No problems — and a
nice stain — with split developing solutions to deal with oxidation, and
Sodium Metaborate pre and post-soaks built into the cycle.
SLIMT - Why Is It Ignored?15 Oct 2003 10:19 GMT14
The method is child's play and quickly done. Has anyone given it a try?
Does it really work well?                                          Dan
Funny problem15 Oct 2003 04:54 GMT9
I've developed a 15 frames strip of 125PX 35mm film.
Negatives are OK, leader is as black as usual.
But frame numbers are quite light, as if heavily underdeveloped.
Has anubody seen this before?
Traditional printing vs. scanning film and digitial manipulation14 Oct 2003 16:10 GMT35
As a teenager and did my own B&W processing and printing. Now, more
than twenty years later, I am getting back into photography and things
have changed quite a bit.
A reasonably-abled digital camera (like higher than 5 mega pixels) is
What developer to use with Delta 100?14 Oct 2003 13:14 GMT9
With all that Kodak is going through I thought that it might be time
to give Ilford's Delta 100 a try. Not to long ago I went out and bought
a box of 25 sheets to run my film speed and development tests with.
Unfortunately I'm not sure what developer to use. Of course I want it
The effects of daylight on chemistry14 Oct 2003 01:31 GMT2
Alrighty, just came across some fixer that was displaced during the move
to our new home (see http://www.darkroompro.com/images/photos/misc/smhouse.jpg )
It was stored in a 5 gallon tank with a floating lid. Unfortunately it's
also been stored outside in daylight since June. The ...
